I would take a job pushing the Sisyphus rock if it paid 20 an hour and I could wear my headphones
The most basic, intractable fact about mental illnesses is that you simply cannot willpower your way out of them. The only exceptions to this rule are the ones I have, which continue to disable me due to lack of determination and other grave personal flaws
I dislike the violence and unpredictability of the ice dispenser
As Pride Month comes to an end, I just want to remind you that July is Disability Pride Month and there's a flag and everything!
Charcoal Grey: Mourning for people who have died due to ableist violence, abuse, suicide, and illness
Red Stripe: Physical disabilities
Gold Stripe: Neurodiversity
Blue Stripe: Emotional and psychiatric disabilities
Green Stripe: Sensory disabilities
White Stripe: Undiagnosed and invisible disabilities
Happy disability pride month to everyone with ptsd, happy disability pride month to everyone with complex ptsd, happy disability pride month to everyone who questions if their problems are big enough to count as a disability, happy disability pride month to anyone who questions if their problems count as a physical or mental disability, happy pride month to everyone who has a disability that causes people to stare, and to those whose disabilities are hidden, happy disability pride month to everyone who deals with any kind of disability physical or mental, youâre all badass and I want you to remember that this month okay
Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. Iâm talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.
I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.
wanna hang out [remembers it's rude to put expectations on people] it's cool if not [remembers people like to know they're wanted] but I'd really like it if you did [remembers selfishness is bad] we can do whatever you want though [remembers that handing someone a blank canvas isn't as effective as providing a suggestion to bounce ideas off of] like sucking each others fingers for example

250 years and most native tribal groups continue to not be federally recognized. Embarrassing!
Hey so a small thing that literally everyone who sees this is capable of is correcting any âused toâ statements about native people in this country.
âNative people used to live in this National Parkâ No. They still do.
âNative people used to tell these stories-â No. They still do.
âNative people used to use this plant as a natural remedy-â No. They still do.
Better yet, familiarize yourself with the tribes local to you. Odds are, they do not yet have federal recognition. You can still read the stories they have to share, you can share their ongoing battle for recognition with others, you can sign petitions and spread the word to others to do so as well. But do something.
Iâm sorry, but the logic that a rapist âwonât stopâ because youâve warned other people about their behavior so itâs meaningless to warn other people is so stupid. I think potential victims actually have a right to know about predators in their community. Lack of accountability is not an argument against warnings, itâs actually an argument for them.
