"It doesn't help your credibility to exaggerate, most employers wouldn't literally work you to death" like, I used to work in distribution. If booking a truck driver for back to back shifts until they fall asleep at the wheel, crash, and die counts as being worked to death, I have personally met employers who've worked employees to death and gotten away with a slap on the wrist. It may not be universal, but it's a hell of a lot more common than a lot of us would prefer to think.
The FAA had to explicitly make rules about how long pilots have to have off between shifts, and how far away from their home you can pin their home airport, because it doesn't mean shit that someone has 10 hours between shifts if they have a 2 hour commute each way. They had to make these rules because multiple passenger airplanes crashed because the pilots were exhausted from tight scheduling. Employers won't just work you to death, they'll take a hundred random customers with you.
Happy belated Workers’ Memorial Day, celebrated April 28th
I feel like there's two worlds: one where Iranians heard the news that Khamenei is dead and immediately started celebrating like there's no tomorrow, and one where the rest of you shook your heads sadly, mimed zipping your lips because it's so sad that our longtime brutal heartless dictator WAS KILLED, and looked away politely. I'm going nuts.
Oh, it's very quiet over here, I see.
We're not happy that Iranians have their first reason to celebrate a future without fear? We are not cheering along with the crowds in Tehran's streets and shouting from millions of apartment windows in that tangled smoggy metropolis?
Holler along. Come on. Don't be frightened for us. We see a future ahead now.
MY HONEYS
MY DEARS
I've had one of my biggest dreams come true today. The head of the beast was cut off.
before they cut off our internet completely i just wanna say don't listen to those anti war mfs. they only gonna try and spread lies about us being scared and that we don't support war but the truth is, we've never been this happy to see the downfall of the islamic republic and we're gonna welcome the usa and israel help with open arms
WE ARE FREE OF KHAMENEI
🥳
I don't know what to do with myself I want to scream and sing and get all of my neighbours to cheer with me. I know they will be dancing into the night, police be damned, bullets be damned, at home.

HE'S GONE HE'S GONE HE'S FGONEEEEE HE'S DEAD
Long may he rot, my god, he's gone and I can't believe my luck.
OH MY GOD, they finally pulled that monster back into hell like we promised ourselves we'd do for years. He's dead. He's DEAD.
I feel like I'm breathing with new lungs
Shaking shaking shaking
KHAMENEI-YE ZAHHAK, KESHIDANET ZIRE KHAK. THEY FUCKING GOT YOU AT LAST, YOU FOUL SOULLESS GHOUL.
I'm logging out.
I recommend i) staying away from the news and continuing to keep your mouths shut (like you all did so nicely all through January, back when we actually needed your eyes and your voices) about Iran if you're not Iranian, and ii) picking up Iran International as a news source if you Muuuust Know because 8 months ago I was laughing on a balcony, frightened half to death as bombs fell, hopeful that at least this regime would come to an end at the end of that nightmare (so much for my crushed dreams of 2025), and now, today in fact, people are doing the same, laughing and chanting "We'll pull our dictator under the soil!", and huh. Strange. None of your "oh those poor dear helpless frightened Iranians" news outlets who suddenly woke up today are saying anything about that, are they?
march sunlight… coming soon to a window near you
This is about Iran and what's happening, as an Iranian who loves their country and wants to live freely and without fear someday.
Israel is bombing Iranian civilians and gleefully put out press release calling it a 'pre-emptive' attack while Iran has been negotiating for weeks. 'Pre-emptive' strikes don't exist in International law. International law doesn't exist either it seems. What exists is Israel, a made up terrorist limb of the cancerous American state and it feeds the capitalist appetite for blood and oil.
The U.S. and Israel are attacking Iran, with President Trump confirming "major combat operations" after a failed effort to pressure Tehran i
Please go ahead and read my tags. I don't have the mental energy to do this song and dance yet again, esp when the Internet's down in Iran again, but I'll screenshot and post my tags as their own post too. That's my contribution to what's happening, as an Iranian, and then I'm blocking all posts about it for my sanity.
