The reason why the room was pink was because on black and white film, hues of red become dark shades of black. Pink is the perfect balance to give it that dark creepy grey.

Reason #999 why the cartoon will always be ONE MILLION PERCENT better than that travesty of a movie. They did so much research and put so much detail in you don’t even notice.

Bonus trivia: Toph got a unique martial arts style to match her distinct version of Earthbending (Southern Praying Mantis style, I think) which the creators found out later was (according to legend) invented by a blind woman. Totally a coincidence, but still so *** cool.

(If you don’t watch the show, Toph is both blind from birth and the best *** Earthbender in the world. Also, GO WATCH THE SHOW.)

Me and the Sunrise

So the pushups don't seem to have lasted very long. I think what I need to do is do them on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays to contrast with my running (On M-W-F). 

Wednesdays are the hardest day of the week, because the program I'm using breaks down runs into "Do this session three times a week" and Wednesdays are when I start each new session. Granted this is intentional, it doesn't make Wednesdays any more pleasant... but that's okay. I'm getting there.

The sunrise today was gorgeous. I won't say that I'd do this just for that and disregard the fitness benefits- I'm doing this because I want to be in better shape- but the sunrises are a definite perk. The sky was a nice sort of medium-dark sapphire on one horizon, and it went through many shades of blue as it passed overhead, turning gently to the blue-white of fresh snow before shading into pale pink, then peach, then a fiery pink-orange right at the other horizon.

Week Three (of nominal nine), Session One (of nominal three).
