What I’m doing during the UK lockdown

Wednesday 24th June,

Hot, hot hot! 30 degrees today, and I’m so glad my shop has air con! Aha!

Very quiet day today no customers in the last 3 hours, but didn’t stop me from running around cleaning, got to get my steps in somehow? Only 4000 today, not sure if ill hit 200k by the end of the month or not? Unlikely i think.

Customers are still behaving themselves, even if there isn’t many of them, and I’m still doing as much as i can to keep everyone safe.

Missing my bestie today, summer time comes around and i just wanna chill in a beer garden with her! She gave blood today, always helpping as much as she can! And that is why i am always so proud of her!

Very long day today and very very tired! Bed time soon i think.

Tuesday 23rd June,

Very very long day today, at work a lot longer than i should have been. But everything is done, customers are still behaving themselves and everything is going well!

Got some good steps in today doing all my jobs around work, 6200, every little helps towards the 200k goal. Currently on 182000 steps. I think i might just get to 200k before the month is up!

Talking of steps, i need to get the 3rd Harry Potter audiobook on payday, which cannot come quickly enough! A lot of stuff to pay but i do have a plan for it all and all is arranged to pay everything. It will be a tight month but it should be ok!

Time for some YouTube time before bed and back to work again tomorrow,

Monday 22nd June,

Payday cannot come quickly enough! Just want to get everything sorted and kind of back to normal now I’m back at work...

Good day at work today preparing another store for opening, deep cleaning everything and making sure its COVID safe. Everything 2 meters apart etc etc... Long day though as so much to do but it’s finally all ready!

Managed to get my steps in today too whilst walking around cleaning everything, 8200 steps. All helps towards the target, not sure if I’ll get to 200k, i might have to fit a walk in on my days off to help reach it!?

My bestie is finally back at work tomorrow, maybe some xbox time tonight to help her with going back to work? Ahah!

Sunday 21st June,

Today should have been Doctor Who day, alas I found myself at work all day!

I’d been growing very fond of Doctor Who days but now I’m back to work I guess ill have to miss out on them from time to time? Also missing my bestie today! She helped me get through today with our holiday being cancelled, maybe the worst day of the year for me! Glasd I’ve got her to help me through it through.

I did manage to get the walk in today though, walked to work racking up 7900 steps, still getting slightly closer to that 200k target!

Very quiet at work today but customers still behaving so that is still a positive!

Back at work again tomorrow, very very tired today and I’m definitely getting an early night!

Saturday 20th June,

Well, I for one cannot wait until payday! Already got everything planned for where its going, and I should be all good financially this month! Long day today as it was very quiet but I got through it and I’m definitely ready for bed soon!

Got my steps in today walking too and from work and I shall do the same tomorrow for definite. Found myself listening to podcasts now I haven’t got any Harry Potter to be listening too, but it’s still good! 7000 steps today just walking to work and back. All still counts towards the goal!

Work again tomorrow and Monday next day off is Thursday, I’ll be looking forward to that! Missing my bestie today too, but maybe I can get ahead of her again on The Witcher? Haha!

Friday 19th June,

Work again today, a lot of cleaning which is good at least I know everything is clean. Long day today, didn’t finish until 6 and I’m back again tomorrow, wonder how tomorrow will be? Starting to get back into work now, I didn’t really want to go back to work, but now I’m back, it doesn’t seem too bad!

Got most of my steps in just at work, over 8000. No proper walk today as I’m so so tired from work. This week has almost killed me off! ever so slowly getting closer to the 200k goal, currently on 150,000 steps, can I get 50k in during the next week? Maybe on my day off I can get some major steps in?

Time for a chill evening as I’m so tired from work, definitely an early night!

Thursday 18th June,

Back to work again today, very quiet still but people are continuing to behave themselves during COVID19. I keep washing my hands every 20 minutes or so and keeping everything clean staff and customer side. Thankful the company has provided a lot of PPE and cleaning equipment to keep everything safe! Long quiet day today!

Managed to get a decent walk in today, 8000 steps get me closer to the 200k goal currently on 144000 so not too far to go until 200k! Started listening to podcast on the walk whilst I have no Harry Potter books left to listen to until pay day, only 8 more days left! I cannot wait! I have some good plans for my money this month!

Time for a chill evening watching YouTube videos and probably call the bestie later before bed, early night tonight!

Wednesday 17th June,

Another day off but not much to day as it’s raining!

Started out another day off with a lie in and some breakfast, then continued cleaning my room. I really think its done now! Fully functional, rid of everything I don’t need and a lot more organised! My bestie would be proud!

After getting ready for the walk it started to rain and we even got some thunder and lightning! I thought the walk was going to be cancelled today but we managed to squeeze one in just as it stopped raining! Nothing will stop my walks! Nothing!

Also i managed to finish book 2 of Harry Potter on the walk today, they are absolutely brilliant and so much is missed out! Now we need to get started on book 2 but i will have to wait until payday for that!

Time for a chill evening on xbox before an early night as I’m back to work tomorrow!

Tuesday 16th June,

Well, one day back at work and then off today! Haha! Needed it after that long tiring day yesterday!

Today was brilliant, I got to see my best friend again, and we got our first mcdonalds since lockdown! It was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much for coming down bestie, it has honestly made my week! Even if I am sunburnt from chilling in the garden! Haha!

First we had a drink in the garden with my family, then a quick walk as we were both shattered, followed by the glorious mcdonalds that was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much bestie! And you know what is the best? Knowing she is there for me through everything, I just wish I could come over to see you!

Another quick walk later in the day after the bestie went home, got some more Harry Potter done only about half an hour left now. And now time for some xbox with her, the perfect way to end a fantastic day!

Monday 15th June,

Back at work! Today was the day i have been dreading for a long time, being back at work... Luckily it wasn’t so bad, we weren’t very busy at all and we had plenty of PPE and hand sanitizer for us and the customers. Everyone behaved themselves and stuck to the rules which was great! The day went really quickly and ran just as smooth as when i was last there.

i also enjoyed the walk to work this morning listening to more Harry Potter there and back, made the walk seem very quick but i still got my steps in, 8600 today helpping me along towards the 200k target, i think if i carry on walking to work i can get this 200k in this month too, I’d be extremely happy with myself if I accomplished that!

Time to have a relaxing evening on xbox with the bestie before an early night as i am absolutely exhausted!

Sunday 14th June,

ANother Sunday another Doctor Who day, although it was kind of ruined by the work meeting that wasn’t even really much of an informative meeting! But i did manage to get back in time for the last 2 episodes of Doctor Who and they were good ones, so i guess all isn’t lost!

Yes my last day as a free man from work today, spent chilling out, watching Doctor Who, eating and my final walk. Did the mega walk today to make the most of it. 9000 steps today bringing my total to 118000, a good place to be if i want to get 200k steps again this month especially if I’m back at work! Let’s just hope the general public keep up with social distancing and everything so it remains a safe place.

Ive almost finished Harry Potter book 2 on audiobooks and i must say it wouldn’t be the same without Stephen fry! Just so much detail left out in the films! It really is the highlight of my day listening to those on my walk. Just a really calm chill walk listening to those. Highlight other than talking to my bestie! Comment get to book 3 if you’re reading this! :D

Going to finish off my last day with some xbox with her and then get to bed a little early ready for work tomorrow!

Saturday 13th June,

My penultimate day as a free man, back to work Monday. I am not looking forward to it!

Good news though is that I have completed the cleaning of my room, it looks so much better, tidier and is a lot more organised so I have more room for activities and can get at everything I need a lot more easily! I think my bestie would be proud!

After I finished the room had some dinner and chill time before my walk, shorter one today only 6000 steps but all helps towards the goal. So will walking to work and back everyday i suppose, but i just really don’t want to go back to work!

Time for some xbox I think i have almost completed the Witcher main storyline, and possibly a quiz from the bestie later!

Friday 12th June,

More cleaning, more organising, and more tidying! I’m talking about my room obviously! Think I’m about 2/3 done at the moment, I’ve done quite a lot but still a lot more to do. May have been a bad time to start this as I do go back to work on Monday, and I’ve got a meeting Sunday in preparation for going back to work!

Other than tidying I obviously had a walk today 8600 steps which means I have completed the 100k target early again! Just got to keep going as I plan on walking to and from work everyday now to keep up with the exercise. Still listening to Harry Potter audiobooks they have just finished the duelling club and are about to brew the potion that changes their identity. Maybe with the walking too and from work I can get the book finished by the end of next week?

Thursday 11th June,

Extremely boring day today, decided to clean my room and I didn’t realise the mammoth task, there is just so much crap in here and not enough space for it all to fit! I did get rid of a lot of stuff though however there is defiantly more stuff to go tomorrow and maybe the next day! I never realised how many books i had until i went through them all today, too many to fit on the shelf. Got me thinking of how I’d organise my house when i move out, i know I’d want my bedroom to be just my bedroom and not be cluttered with so much stuff!

After a lot of cleaning came the walk, again listening to Harry Potter, I’ve just got to the chapter where they form the duelling club, still a long way to go i think. Got 8500 steps in today so I’m only about 6000 steps away from the 100k target so i should defiantly hit that tomorrow if i do my standard walk, never mind the mega one!

A lot more cleaning and a lot more walking planned for tomorrow hopefully it is nice weather!

Wednesday 10th June,

Work is getting dangerously close now, just 5 more days until I’m back, not sure if I’ll be able to get up that early anymore!

Took the car out again today just to get it moving as it has been sat doing nothing for months, hopefully this helps. And as always the walk, another 10k today so I’m not far off 100k steps and its only the 10th! I hope I can keep this up when I get back to work? I’ll definitely walk every day (if it isn’t raining).

I did think about tidying my room today but after looking at it I feel I have too much crap in here and will have to take an entire day out to do it, I shall do this tomorrow I think. I will need some big rubbish bags!

Time for an evening on xbox to catch on the Witcher, i fear my friend has overtaken me on it again this week!

Tuesday 9th June,

Well, nothing can get better than yesterday really! Haha!

Woke up super early today expecting a delivery about 8am... it came at 1pm! Waste of time that was getting up! But also super glad I got my new shoes they are so comfy and beautiful!

And we managed to get in a mega walk! 11000 steps today and 2 chapters of Harry Potter book 2 completed. Again narrated by Stephen Fry, he really does make it i could just listen to him all day! On about 75k steps for the month so far, not long until i reach my 100k target, helpful as I’m back at work monday and don’t look forward to that! But i should still be able to get steps in if i walk to work and back!

Chill evening watching TV with mother, and now time for some xbox before bed!

Monday 8th June,

Today, today is the best day of lockdown so far! My best friend surprised me this morning with a phone call saying she's coming over with the dog to see me! Honestly the best day and such an amazing surprise! Did a huge walk all around my area, through the park, into the fields, into another park and back home, over 10k steps. That will help towards the step goal, thank you so much bestie! I need to go over there now! Honestly, the best day since lockdown!

Followed by a chill evening and another quick 30 minute walk listening to the Harry Potter audiobook again just to get another chapter down! And some training for returning to work, that will be fun! Then Xbox again with the bestie again!
