Rebecca Johnson is a blonde closeted lesbian in her early 20s from a conservative family with a father, who is a very famous American political commentator and especially leaning to the right-wing. She's has been hiding her love for women for many years with the fear of being disowned by her conservative parents.

But the thing doesn't stop there, Rebecca is also secretly dating an A-list rock singer and actress called 'Lola Stones'. A brunette celebrity with a different self-accepting journey but now trying to re-discover herself at the time she's kissing and cuddling with Rebecca with the doors and windows closed, hidden from the world outside the walls.

Rebecca and Lola deserve sunshine in the 'The Public Eye' story.

Hi! Do you have any advice for people that start writing ff and then stop after being hit with the "why do i even try and put effort if only a few people will read this and even less will leave a kudo" possibility/reality? Bc i often have a lot of ideas and try to write them down but then i think about that and stop; it does not feel good to put many hours and love and thought into something only to have zero people say they liked it or it made them happy or they enjoyed it so i always end up never finishing writing anything (i never post anything incomplete so no one is reading an incomplete story).

And that's without even considering the ai witch hunts :/

basically my answer is: write for yourself. don’t write for strangers’ approval. write because you’re passionate about the stories and the characters. write because the act of writing is what makes you happy. it will only get exhausting for you if you keep chasing strangers’ validation to the point you’re no longer writing for yourself as a form of self-care.

Writting some ideas for 'Her Name In The Sky' fanfics in the drafts and I feel like this.

There's one idea that it might be interesting to bring in the fanfic based in the last chapters of the book that no one wrote it in Ao3 before.

Maybe i can write my first fanfic of Her Name In The Sky since I'm reading the new version's book after I finish reading it. I'm thinking about picking a chapter and make another version from the scenearios I imagine during St. Mary's days or writting a new made-up part of Hannah and Baker after high school. Like... Their lives at college and the six friends's lives after the 2012 story, not about H & B's wedding in 2026.

For now, I've read the book until chapter 9 so pls don't throw me spoilers of the extended chapters.

I fvcking finally finished re-writting the novel it's been in my mind since 2023. After six months of procastination issues and feeling saturated, it's over.

Synopsis:

A well-known Argentinian singer and actress called ‘Lola’, falls in love with a daughter of a very well-known conservative journalist man from the United States, Rebecca.

They both love each other so much but they can’t demonstrate it in the public eye since they don’t want to cause trouble in front of the conservative press. Rebecca is very afraid of her conservative parents rejecting her by having a girlfriend and the conservative community bashing at her. Lola is also afraid of the whole media bashing them and ruining her career. 

Rebecca and Lola will have to face difficult situations and find ways to hide the relationship from the public.
