how tumblr is ocd fuel:

-anon asks. people send mean anon asks. telling you youre a bad person for whatever reason and fueling your ocd

-rb bait posts. "rb to tell your friends you love them" "rb if you support [insert niche group]" just any "rb to" posts. and the worst of them all "if you dont reblog youre a bad person" which is literally a threat and sends you spiraling very easy

-that one post that says to say thank you instead of sorry to make it "a more positive experience". very bad for people with ocd. you say sorry because its a compulsion: "if i dont say sorry they will be mad at me" saying thank you instead of sorry doesn't help, you just switched words. compulsion is still there

-lack of trigger tags. tagging triggers often goes unused

-the "thought crime" discussion. "your thoughts Always reflect on you as a person" and "your thoughts reflect on you as a person but it's totally okay you are a terrible person and you should start leaning into it Right Now" and "never ever question a thought". all of these feed into compulsions really well.

-those post that tell you "Yes You Are Bad. You Are that thing youre stressed about". perfect fuel. they just straight up confirm your obsessive thoughts

-tumblr users are not specialized therapists. you dont have to listen to any of the posts that tell you "how to do it right"

why did i make this post? to spread awareness and help people with ocd realize that there is a lot of triggers for ocd spiraling here. to make it safer for you, if you realize that its ocd fuel its easier to go around it and ignore it. stay safe

I haven't seen anyone talking about this and just wanted to make a quick post on here.

Akihiro Miwa recently passed away peacefully june 20th, and was not only a drag queen and a queer icon, but also the japanese voice of Arceus in the movie Arceus and the jewel of life, as well as the witch from Howl's moving castle and Moro from Princess Mononke.

Rest in peace and thank you for the wonderfull impact you made in this world.

Day 188/365 of listing something good I saw today:

Saw two bird parenting incidents today. When we were leaving the house, there were two magpies sitting on top of a streetlamp, one adult and one juvenile. The juvenile was begging, full on wings spread and beak wide open making baby bird begging sounds, while the adult was trying to ignore all that, going like "look, random baby, I Don't Fucking Know You", refusing to aknowledge the almost fully-grown juvenile beeping for food. The adult flew off, and the juvenile stayed on top of the lamppost for a while, whining in protest, before flying off to the opposite direction.

Excellent establishment of boundaries to your adult child. 10/10 fuck them kids.

Then while we were returning home, there was a juvenile crow sitting on the roof of a house, making such a pathetic attempt at Baby Bird Begging Squeak with a grown-ass raspy crow caw voice that we had to stop and look at what the hell was making that noise. Soon enough a fully grown adult crow flew up and put a bug in the juvenile's mouth. The juvenile ate it and immediately started demanding for more. After the adult flew off, so did the juvenile.

Like sweetie. Come on. That little squeaker is out of the nest and flying just fine. Your baby is a grown-ass man. It's time to put yourself first.

do y’all remember usernames??? from back when every fuckin website didn’t need your email phone number home address social security number just to join/sign up for something?? when you could make website-specific accounts that weren’t linked to literally anything else??? they tried to boil us like a frog slowly switching to “username/email” and then just asking for your email. but I remember.
