I figured I should probably have a pinned post like some of the people I follow given the nature of my account.
This is basically an account that reblogs a lot of hypnosis and hypnokink content. Given the explicit and mature nature of the content that I reblog, you should leave and DNI if you are a minor.
I'm hoping that this pinned post doesn't come off as unfriendly. I just don't intend to include much about myself (perhaps that'll change with time, but who knows).
Edit (3/18/26): I'm adding this tidbit here because I'm realizing I should probably add my age. I'm not all too comfortable plastering my age, but I also would still like to interact with some great blogs that I follow. I'm 19.
Okay, I definitely spent longer than I intended, but also there's so many posts/reblogs from so many cool people that I follow that I want to get through, but this is definitely how I got to where I was before. I need to keep reminding myself to pace myself here.
I have a feeling of wanting to apologize to those that I follow that I don't interact their blog as often with? Like, I totally understand it'd be unreasonable to expect/demand someone to interact with every single blog they follow, but I also feel like I'm saying they're less important in a way by not doing so. I mean, technically I could just stop typing right now and start scrolling through their blogs and stop these thoughts and show that I'm not totally apathetic to them, but I also want (or probably more rather need) to sleep. And again, I know it'd be crazy to expect/demand people's time and attention for one's blog (it's just social media, not that high of priority, although some of these blogs are quite important to people as in what they post and reblog and stuff, I don't know anymore), but am I not showing I don't care but not interacting as frequently???
This post is definitely too ramble-y (maybe even too vent-y? I feel like I'm just throwing out all of my worries and concerns for people to see and read and hopefully answer, and after typing that, I probably am). Is this too much? I've already asked this before. Is this stream-of-consciousness post too much?
I'm tempted to just delete this entire post and go to bed (honestly, maybe I should?), but I also want to have these questions out there to potentially get answers from anyone willing to answer (of any amount, don't answer them all if that's not your prerogative [oooh, big fancy word. Did I use it correctly? Let me double check. I'm pretty sure so... {also, side tangents in side tangents in side tangents is a bit crazy, including this one, but screw it we ball}]).
Maybe I'm still too fresh to accessing social media (unless YouTube counts, but those are mostly videos). I haven't really interacted much with social media in the form of posts (ex. Facebook, Twitter, etc) like Tumblr primarily is, which is a weird thought since I've certainly been on the internet for a pretty large majority of my life (which that is also a terrifying thought).
Okay, seriously time for bed. Maybe I get some answers in the morning? Maybe I discover I should've just personally asked these things to someone instead of displaying it to all those who can see.
I think this is the most I've ever typed (no duh, it's a stream-of-consciousness thing), where I include every single side comment (like these) and decide not to delete or exclude them. Is that a good thing? A bad thing? Again, is this too much?
the idea that predators and abusers are an ontological category of person, rather than everyone having the capacity to be predatory and abusive, leads to people having no regard for boundaries because they think that predation only comes from evil people ™
It’s been awhile since I’ve seen any saftey trances around so I decided to write one myself. 😤Repetition encouraged but not required, feedback always encouraged!!
(Trance includes: consent affirmations and a safety trigger that will only activate when subject feels unsafe or in danger, this is to provide agency to subjects when in any trance. ⚠️18+ ONLY, Hypnotic language with erotic tones ahead.⚠️)
Deep breath in..
Hold for a few moments….
And out.
Once again for me.
In…
Hold…
Out.
Good!
Just a little reminder of breath.
Making you more aware of your body and senses.
A little more calm and centered.
Safe.
It’s nice here.
Notice the steadiness of your breath. The soft rhythm like a gentle hand guiding you deeper.
An awareness of you and your calm and your safety.
A small world within you.
Built around your rules.
You know the sensations.
That faint tingling that spreads when you let yourself drift,
that delicious heaviness in your body, that quiet thrill of letting go.
Every game, every surrender, every edge you find yourself near.
Each belongs to you first.
Your will is the lock.
Your consent is the key.
Nothing enters without your command.
Let’s repeat together;
“Nothing enters without my command.”
No trance,
no trigger,
no desires.
Not without your command.
Even as you allow yourself to drift, to soften, to melt into sensation…
Even as you give in and follow and obey..
You still hold to your agency.
You hold the power to move yourself should anything turn sour, sharp, uncomfortable.
Your voice is absolute.
If you say stop, everything stops.
If you say no, your mind will follow.
If you say yes, the trance continues.
Every response is valid.
Every choice is honored.
Let’s say it together;
“My no is final. My yes is heard. My choice is honored.”
If you ever feel unsafe, uncertain, or in danger,
Whether inside trance or outside of it,
Your mind and body will immediately activate a safety response.
CENTER.
The instant you think or speak this word,
You will awaken fully.
Alert and present,
With complete control restored to you.
This trigger belongs only to you.
If you think or speak
CENTER,
When you feel unsafe or uncertain,
You will immediately become awake and aware.
This will work in every trance,
with every hypnotist,
in every situation.
This truth is universal.
To agree, say:
“Yes, this truth is universal.”
In every trance.
With every hypnotist.
In every context.
Let’s say it together:
“My agency is mine in every trance. With every hypnotist. In every context.”
Your safety is universal.
Repeat.
“My safety is universal.”
And because your limits are unshakable, you can let yourself go deeper, darker, freer~
Safe in knowing that surrender only exists because you hold the power to withdraw it.
Safety in knowing that no mater how deep a trance you can pull away.
That truth makes each edge sharper, each surrender sweeter, each choice more intoxicating.
Each breath an invitation,
each sigh a caress,
each moment inside trance a little more sensual,
a little more electric.
Surrender more delicious.
Surrender that you control.
Let’s say it together:
“I control my own surrender.”
Notice how good it feels to affirm this~
The warmth of your breath..
The calm of your mind..
The slow thrum of desire low in your body,
The way your skin seems to hum when you allow yourself to relax like this.
How solid,
How grounding,
How erotic your own agency can be.
The more you play with these words,
The more you know:
Pleasure is strongest when choice is strongest.
Let’s repeat:
“My pleasure is strongest when my choice is strongest.”
Very good~
Let’s take another deep breath..
In…
Hold…
Out..
That awareness of your body air climbing into your lungs and releasing again,
The calm of your mind,
The certainty of your safety..
Sit in this warm and comfortable feeling for as long as you like lovely..
You’ve done so well today~
And each time you choose to return to this trance,
To these words,
You’ll find it easier,
Deeper,
Sweeter.
Each return strengthens your safety,
Sharpens your trigger,
And makes the pleasure of surrender even more your own.
And when you’re ready to return,
You’ll rise slowly and steadily,
As the awareness of the room around you returns.
You’ll continue to hold to this certainty.
That each trance and experience is yours to enjoy,
Explore,
And savor~
Always on your terms.
Always with your voice.
Always in your power.
Not only here, but in every trance you choose to enter.
In a moment,
I’ll count from 1 to 5.
With each number, you’ll rise higher and higher out of trance—returning fully to the present, refreshed, safe, and in complete control.
1 … awareness beginning to return, steady and calm.
2 … energy flowing back into your body, safe and grounded.
3 … mind clearing, choices sharp and strong.
4 … nearly back now, carrying your safety and agency with you.
5 … eyes open, fully awake, fully present—safe, powerful, and in control.
Yasmin Benoit is a writer and asexual activist, btw. She often gets a lot of shit for dressing 'sexy' and people trying to say she's not valid as an asexual person for it, but she is 1000% valid AF and an ace icon. She's a model and enjoys clothes and outfits that are body affirming for her and feel good to her to be in, it is not sexy or 'trashy' to dress how you like to dress, nor is it her responsibility if other people find her sexually attractive. She's just living her best life and I freaking love that for her.
Also regular reminders that:
Black people can be asexual and are 1000% valid AF (racism + fetishization makes this necessary to point out)
People you find sexually attractive can be asexual and are 1000% valid for it
No one is required to indulge any sexual attraction you have for them regardless of your sexuality or theirs
Asexual people can and do have sex - there are asexual sex workers y'know & ace folks in partnerships with children
Asexual people who are sex repulsed and do not have sex are just as valid as aces who are sex favourable or indifferent
Allosexual people who are sex repulsed are also valid and it doesn't mean they're asexual by default. Attraction and action are two different things
Asexuality is a whole ass spectrum of identities and belongs under the LGBTQ+ umbrella
Why playing with algebraic and calculus concepts—rather than doing arithmetic drills—may be a better way to introduce children t
The familiar, hierarchical sequence of math instruction starts with counting, followed by addition and subtraction, then multiplication and division. The computational set expands to include bigger and bigger numbers, and at some point, fractions enter the picture, too. Then in early adolescence, students are introduced to patterns of numbers and letters, in the entirely new subject of algebra. A minority of students then wend their way through geometry, trigonometry and, finally, calculus, which is considered the pinnacle of high-school-level math.
But this progression actually “has nothing to do with how people think, how children grow and learn, or how mathematics is built,” says pioneering math educator and curriculum designer Maria Droujkova. She echoes a number of voices from around the world that want to revolutionize the way math is taught, bringing it more in line with these principles.
The current sequence is merely an entrenched historical accident that strips much of the fun out of what she describes as the “playful universe” of mathematics, with its more than 60 top-level disciplines, and its manifestations in everything from weaving to building, nature, music and art. Worse, the standard curriculum starts with arithmetic, which Droujkova says is much harder for young children than playful activities based on supposedly more advanced fields of mathematics.
“Calculations kids are forced to do are often so developmentally inappropriate, the experience amounts to torture,” she says. They also miss the essential point—that mathematics is fundamentally about patterns and structures, rather than “little manipulations of numbers,” as she puts it. It’s akin to budding filmmakers learning first about costumes, lighting and other technical aspects, rather than about crafting meaningful stories.
✦ A soft warning: The rhythm of these sentences may feel like a familiar path in the woods of your mind. You are the one who chooses to walk it, or to stand still and simply look at the trees. ✦
"My mum won't let me" Okay I am 30 goddamn years old and I still have this thought so let's walk through it together.
What's the worst that can happen if you do it anyway? Genuinely. The literal worst. Catastrophise about it with me for a sec.
Will your mum yell at you? You're an adult. Yelling at fellow adults is Not Okay Actually. (Yelling at kids is also not okay but let's take this one step at a time.) If your mum is yelling at you, a fellow adult, she's the one being weird and out of line. You asked your friend and they said so too (me. I'm the friend.)
Will she cut off your phone plan? That would be a problem. Can you look into whether you can afford to switch to a new plan she doesn't have access to? Most phone companies will let you port your number over pretty easily.
Will she cut you off financially? Run the numbers again. Can you afford for that to happen? If the answer is no, that's okay, I believe you and I know you're making the best decision for your own well-being that you can in the moment. If there's anything you can do to make it more affordable, I do suggest doing that, though.
Will she be physically violent, inclusive of breaking stuff that belongs to you? That’s assault. That's a crime. It's not okay for her to do that and she almost certainly knows it.
Will she stop talking to you? Honestly I gotta say at this point that's not sounding like a bad outcome. It sucks. It really really sucks and I'm sorry if that's a choice you're having to make, but take it from someone who's been there and done that: when someone who is being abusive to you (stalking is abuse! Yelling at you is abuse! Threatening to cut off your funds if you don't do what they want forever is abuse! Breaking your stuff or physically hurting you is abuse!) decides of their own volition to cut you off, it hurts for a hot minute, and then you suddenly realise that you can breathe, and it feels so. Goddamn. Amazing.

Cannot stand the trend of censoring any and all words that describe concepts that might make you go :( especially when the censoring is done in that quarter-assed way that's just 'did a lil scribble over a vowel so you know that I know this word describes a no-no."
I'm not even going to be vague about what sparked this. Do not fucking censor the word 'stole.' I'm at my fucking limit.
Who does this benefit. Who is made safer by this. Whose life is made better by this. Who is out there going "Wow I sure am glad I didn't have to see that word without it scribbled on a little. That really reduced the emotional impact of reading that word." Can I kill them?
I wrote about this almost six months ago. I didn't expect the subject to come back to me.
I haven't done a deep technical analysis of the Bambi files specifically — it's not my area of study within the scene — so I'm not going to discuss the architecture of the triggers point by point. From what I've heard about them, I find them frankly detestable, and I'm not going to pretend to be neutral about that. I've had people who claim to be in Bambi sleep message me, and honestly, I'm never quite sure whether I should offer help, ignore them, or block them.
But there's something in those messages that isn't specifically about Bambi, and I find it much more interesting: the way some people talk about it with this almost unsettling enthusiasm, going from “this is very effective” to “therefore you can't get out” to “and that's okay because you can't.” Basically, the people circling around someone who supposedly fell into the so-called sleep like vultures.
The thing is, if you're told that something is going to “ruin” you, and then you're repeatedly told so in this dramatic warning tone, your brain starts looking for evidence. But suggestion isn't mind control. It's suggestion. And we're not Pavlov's experiment. We shouldn't be treated like dogs, pigeons, or any other animals.
Effectiveness is not the same thing as irreversibility. Something being difficult to undo doesn't mean it can't be undone. It means it may take work, time, and sometimes outside help. That's true of almost any deep conditioning, hypnotic or otherwise.
What some of these messages — the ones I personally think are the vultures — do is use the same persuasive architecture they claim to be warning against, but apply it to the argument itself: installing learned helplessness as the conclusion, dressed up as technical observation.
“You can't get out” is not a fact. It's a suggestion.
And it comes with the classic signature of compliance dressed as inevitability: “keep listening” at the end of a text that is supposedly a warning.
Because even if the conditioning itself didn't work, maybe being told over and over again that you're trapped can make that belief real.
Now, if audio recordings could actually “create a new personality” and “manipulate me into becoming a submissive idiot,” then presumably they could also be used to cure phobias, make people quit smoking, or teach them languages in three days. But it doesn't work that way, because hypnosis isn't a mental hack. It's a state of focused attention.
PS: I know there are people in the community who can help remove those triggers, and some of them actively offer that kind of help. For less aggressive forms of conditioning, several hypnotists also have audios or videos designed to deprogram all sorts of triggers — even some made by hypnotists who have since fallen from grace.
