percy jackon being raised by a parent who loves him unconditionally and continues to show up for him in every possible way that she still can is so important to his character and its not lost on me that he is the only character (main or supporting) that has this in PJO. percy having a present parent isn't just nice, it makes him better. he is more confident because of it, he has better judgement of when to trust someone and when not to, he even, I would argue, is a better warrior because of his strong foundation. and what's more, it makes him kinder. he is more compassionate and a better listener because of his supportive home. that's not to say the others are not all of these things, but it is important that percy is, in part, because of his mother.

It's realistic for Nick and Judy to still retain their personal issues from the first film since it really hasn't even been that long.

Nick has unresolved childhood trauma that's connected with his cynical view that the world will not change for the better overnight. He became a cop mostly because he wants to be in Judy's pack and wanting to preserve it by leaving town overrides his desire to solve the case.

Judy wants to preserve their partnership by going in the opposite direction of pursuing the case but it's driven by her unhealthy hero complex and wanting to prove herself. Thus she goes about it by making dangerous decisions of disobeying orders and risking her life and others'.

Once they finally faced their issues head on and talked it out with each other, the duo are finally in sync. Nick doesn't hesitate anymore in jumping with her (zoogetherness), Judy giving up control and letting Nick have the reins (literally by letting him drive for once) and letting him have the last monologue. You can really tell in their fight with Pawbert they're just so happy to be back together.

I'm sorry, but the way the snake felt embarrassed by Judy and Nick's emotional hug and left them alone for their moment is such a romance cliché. In fact, the whole movie seems to be a reinforced romance cliché between Judy and Nick. Everything is there to indicate that in the third movie, they will clearly be endgame. And I can't wait for that honestly.

Dawg the more that I think about it the more I realize how heartbroken she sounds and how heartbreaking of a realization that is— to realize the person you’ve chosen as your closest confidante, the person that matters most to you in the world, the one who believed in you when no one else did, disagrees with your core belief in making the world a better place.

Now imagine Nick. The best thing to ever happen to you was this bunny coming into your life and changing your perspective of it. She brings you nothing but joy, she’s the most important person in your life, up until now she has done nothing but try and prove that the two of you belong together despite your differences. You never minded your differences and always tuned out naysayers but now, to you, she’s saying “maybe we don’t belong together.”

And I love that he was carrying the pen everywhere he went, he didn't leave the house without it.

Judy: We have to solve this case and uncover the biggest conspiracy in the history of Zootopia about why we have demonized reptiles so that the greedy rich people who want us dead don’t continue to gentrify their historic neighborhoods and erase the true origin of the city.
