not how self defense works. he attempted to retreat multiple times, if his attackers hadn't repeatedly followed and cornered him, he wouldn't have shot them. they had every opportunity to retreat, they chose not to take it, he had opportunity to retreat, he took it, until he no long had that opportunity, because his attackers continued advancing on him despite their ability to retreat, resulting in him using lethal force to protect himself. man again good thing there isn't an easy analogy like "she was dressed like that so she clearly wanted it". so to repeat point one
