I don't think it's fair to say Scarlet is moaning about losing 50M$. The bigger thing here is Disney breached a contract and rather than compensating the producers/stars the stayed quiet, because they presumably assumed nobody is going to make a fuss about it. Because they kind of did that before, with Pixar. They released 2 Pixar movies on Disney+ and Pixar executives were annoyed with Disney and complained publicly about their annoyance with Disney's decision, but ultimately they didn't take it to court. I don't know if they had a "Theatre Exclusive" clause in their contracts, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't and that's why it wasn't made into a legal issue.

Again, I haven’t read the suit in full, and both things are possible.

"Why do these people want Tom to be a poor victim" - It's just projection. These "fans" treat celebrities like fictional characters and assign an imaginary personality to them, not realising any real person is gonna have way more complexity. They construct the "victim Tom" narrative to get sympathy, ultimately for themselves, and for the frustrations they have in their own life. Look, it's a valid way to relate to fiction, but extending that to real people is gross.

As fun as it is to make fun here it is actually important that she wins.

Her pay, contractually, is tied to box office revenue, Disney (apparently?) gets all the money from D+ premium views. A thing her contract allegedly said wouldn't be a thing that happened. She's a big enough star to have the money and clout to actually fight Disney on this, and possibly win/get laws and contracts changed.

This is a good thing for her to be doing and you need to be pulling for her to win, so that smaller actors/crew can get what they deserve out of the streamed movies
