Honestly, I’m hella salty I have yet to be adopted by the Cullens. Other kids expect a Hogwarts letter to arrive in their mailbox at age twelve? Nah, I’m waiting for a near death experience followed by a devilishly handsome young doctor, an excruciating three days, and finally, a new life in a crackhead, undead family. THE FUN I would have in that family. The way I would go and study a million subjects at college I’ve always dreamed of studying with no worries as to what career I could make of them. The way I could learn about fashion history firsthand from bitches who literally lived through it. THE WAY i could literally steal original pieces from the MET and live my life in old ass clothes with my old ass family. I would fit in so well. Well, I’d try and avoid the racism aspect, but still. My piece for the @supercorpzine

I want to thank all the work the mods have had to do this year, they did an amazing job again, even with the aditional effort the pandemy puts, also all the contributors that made the zine looks as good as it does.

This volume has made me realice even more of how important a fandom can become for a person, and how much it can impact in their lives, a few weeks ago an anon writed to the zine account how much their life changed beetween they bought the zine till it arrived, that got me thinking a lot.

I thought a lot if I should come back for this volume and I’m really glad I did coz even if it’s a very very very very very small pixel of the mood lifter I’m glad it helped somehow.

I wish you the best of the recoverys and I hope everyone is safe and as healthy as they can in these weird times

I'm very sorry for the people hating on you for wanting the writers to treat you and the show fairly. You are right. The writers have been gaslighting you for far too long. The queerbaiting is there. It has been for a while. Don't let anyone tell you differently. You deserve to be told the truth. You deserve for the writers to stop messing with your feelings. An analysis of Game of Throne’s misogyny regarding Daenerys Targaryen in the last two seasons.

This is a very long rant. It’s over 4000 words. I needed to get this off my chest because it helps with my grieving process.

A quick summary: I try to figure out when the show decided they wanted to go with the ‘Mad Queen’ bullshit theory. I try to undertand why they’ve done her so dirty lately. Spoiler alert. It’s not pretty.

Daenerys being forced to beg Jon Snow for her own safety was yet another example of season 8 being made as a misogynist’s fantasy. Reducing this powerful woman who fought from the very bottom in order to gain her agency back into a broken, pleading and desperate girl once more. It’s shameful what they did to her.

This is actually one of the things I’ve been thinking lately. They didn’t just character assassinate her by making her evil. They made her weak as well. I always thought that the show has been stripping Dany of her agency and intelligence compared to the books for a long time, and they also stripped her of a lot of her warmth and kindness. The show has been butchering Dany’s character for a long time, but there was one thing they let Dany’s character have in the show: they allowed her to remain as the badass, the one that never gives up and overcomes all hardships, the Strong Female Character TM. I would actually argue that this was probably the defining trait of Show!Dany. But in season 8? They stripped her of even that. You know the woman who endured misogynistic insults to her face by slavers and Dothraki khals and remained calm and composed, and managed to defeat them all? She’s no longer there. A few Northerners praising Jon or being displeased with her presence, and she breaks down. She had endured much worse treatments and humiliations, but somehow she no longer can stand it. You know the woman who has been betrayed, who lost loved ones, who lost her people, and still managed to keep being strong? She doesn’t exist anymore, now she goes mad because of it. You know the woman who was whipped and mocked by the Dothraki, who were her people, and was stripped down by the dosh khaleen, and still didn’t lose her faith in herself and found a way out? Now she loses the faith in herself just because the Northerners don’t like her and because Jon Snow rejects her. You know that speech in which she says “Do you know what kept me standing, through all those years in exile? Faith. Not in any gods. Not in myths and legends. In myself. In Daenerys Targaryen.” It means nothing anymore.
