How do you know when play between a puppy and an adult dog is getting too intense and how would you correct it? I expect my dog to correct my puppy if she oversteps but there are times where it seems like she crosses into big aggression especially if he does correct her. Like when she's hooked onto his butt fluff and he's tired of dragging her around, he'll just knock her off and she goes at him barking and snarling. She's small now but I'm worried about this continuing to when she's 80 pounds.
It’s something that I frequently have to see to know when to step in- but effectively, if the adult will not correct or if the puppy doesn’t take the hint, I step in and remove the puppy and crate for a few minutes to calm the puppy down. Frequently overstimulation will blind a puppy’s social skills and an adult dog that genuinely likes puppies is frequently a little too allowing when it comes to these scenarios, so at that point it’s our job as the owner to step in so that the puppy understands what is and is not tolerated in your house.

My two babies, Liv and Kojak. Liv is the one in front and is believed to be a mix of Boxer, Pug, Jack Russell Terrier, Beagle, and Rhodesian Ridgeback, she’s 6 years old and my very best friend. Kojak is a Llewellyn Setter and his age is believed to be around 11 or 12, my boyfriend adopted him from a rescue shelter and they weren’t exactly sure of his age when they brought him in. He’s a very big sweetheart and super soft.

Does anyone know the Instagram source?
This is from @elsaberggrense. I’ve just realized that the source doesn’t show up on mobile, so I’ll be including it in the caption from now on!
If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience.

Hello, I heard couple of times about compassion fatigue, but I don't have any idea what it is and the symptoms. Thanks.
Generally compassion fatigue can hit anyone in a caring profession. It is similar to depression and anxiety in some ways but focused around work, though it can affect you at other times too. Common symptoms include:
- Lack of interest in work- Anxiety about going to work- Change in mood or behavior- Loss of interest in hobbies- Poor sleeping- Nightmares or flashbacks to bad outcomes- Decreased quality of work or making more mistakes- Angry or withdrawn behavior
For me, I tend to cry too often or not enough with compassion fatigue. I may have sad cases that fail to affect me or that overwhelm me entirely. I either go numb or can’t stop crying.

Rare White Giraffe Is Spotted in Tanzania
This beautiful baby giraffe can really stand out in a crowd. Spotted over a year ago roaming the Tarangire National Park, she has been sighted again this year, alive and well. This is really good news because as lovely as her colouration is, it may also make her a greater target for poachers and natural predators in the wild. Christened by a local guide as “Omo” after a popular brand of detergent in Tanzania, she draws her rare white colouring from a condition known as leucism.
Leucism is a partial loss of cellular pigmentation which results in Omo’s pale, patchy colour. It is not to be confused with albinism, which is a reduction in just melanin; leucism is the combined lack of multiple types of pigments.

Unfortunately Bentley has taken a turn for the extreme worse. He was rushed in this morning to the vet as an emergency case and will be remaining with them for at least the day. I honestly don’t know if he’ll make it so I will be posting photos throughout the day of Bentley’s life in honor of this sweet little boy who touched so many lives.
