Does no one in the Pitt fandom enjoy fucked up characters? Baran nearly drives despite knowing she could kill someone and only reconsiders when she’s pulling out of her spot in the parking lot. She spent the day doing procedures despite having multiple seizures. Robby is cruel to people he works with in ways that harm them. But do you not find it compelling how they got to that point? Do you not find it compelling that they will get to a place, her sooner than him because she’s already there at the end of the episode, where they say fuck, I can’t believe what I did today and have to deal with the guilt and self-recrimination? Is it not interesting to think about them trying to understand the bad thing they did as a defense because they’ve been hurt before and are acting out of self-protective instincts and also trying to find forgiveness for themselves? Generally speaking Latino headcanons please me, as our representation both within the source material and the fandom is quite sparse. However, nothing irks me quite like the Latino Jason Todd headcanon. It's lazy, it's based on no canon evidence, and it relies on harmful stereotypes of Latino men as physically imposing, dangerous and angry. If you want to add diversity, wasian Jason Todd is right there, and actually has some (mild) canon backing. Or you could, you know, engage with the actual canonical non-white characters. They might be few, but they do exist.
