Personality: Party king!!!  Jovial and fun!!  Avoids conflict af!!!  His parents are almosT as disappointed in him as Edmund Porter IV is in Lex tbqh - Margery, tho, does see his negligence as a potential opportunity to rule through his asp tho!!  Unfortunately for her, tho, he’s not into listening to her - ever.  For some???? reason???? Nyck (who lbr was 100% named for an Arrington king or two, if you were wondering ;D) doesn’t like spending much time at home.  Super rebellious, but mostly deals w this through indulgence: catch him sneaking out his window like he’s a prisoner to go drinking w his friends.  He doesn’t care for responsibility or the duties his parents perceive for him but he greatly enjoys pranks and laughter and, esp, teasing his ‘brother,’ Loys *high fives Harrion and Britta*  Doesn’t know what day it is but will make a big joke of it all anyway bc he doesn’t care that he doesn’t know.

Special Talents: E.S.C.A.P.E. P.L.A.N.S!!!!!!!!  Honestly, most ppl don’t see it but he’s suPER smart he just uses 100% of that for thwarting his parents’ whims!!  Can and wiLL (attempt) to drink anyone under the table!!  Avoiding conflict (and his parents)!  Rebelling!  (Since he’s in Aragoth, most likely dying badly lbr.)  Escaping Soarhall in the dead of winter!! (honestly this takes some srs skill and ingenuity - its ~is a fortress, after all!!!!)

Personal Head canon: Frankly, the one thing that unites Lucian and Margery is their mutual disappointment in Nyck!!  As a result, his room has been changed about a thousand times to keep him from running away but he keeps inventing new and increasingly intricate escape plans!!!  Honestly, tho, he enjoys the challenge of it!!  And, esp, he enjoys frustrating them!

Oh man, wow. Super complicated, for reals!!

But yeah, I could see that Lynessa would know very well that someone like Lucian would be a great asset to have on her side. So probably would pay a lot of respect and deference to him, but at the same time showing glimpses of the intelligence and political savvy she’s got in her little finger. Bc above all things, Lynessa is extremely good at reading people and figuring out what they respond best to in people.

So I could see her on one of her visits to the North/Valles/etc that she would come pay her respects to Lucian and see how easily/uneasily she may be able to rope him in as an ally to her cause.

Do you think that if she had made mention of planning to marry again, he would be more ~comfortable/into the idea of her becoming queen? Since that way she’d have the “balance” of a man “keeping her in control” or whatever? (bc hAH. like Lynessa’s ever really gonna let some dUDE rule over her. pssshhhh)

Ngl, he’d def like her respect, but not even in a ~fanning his own pride~ kind of way.  He believes in honor and cordiality and the ~Old Ways and so he’d like to see that she knows how to behave herself and show everyone dignity and respect (and give the appropriate death stare where needed ofc ;DDD jk jk)  He’d also be like, “Oh, phew, she’s not like her mother” bc all he feels for her mother is a combination of mistrust and disdain and so I think he’s just assumed that all the Beaumont girls are like their mother in their flagrant emotions and wild tempers (I don’t think he’s seen Avelina since she was v young and yeah) and so he’d be relieved to see Lynessa’s intelligence, wit, calm, and savvy.  He appreciates patience and cunning and discretion and yeahhhh hahahaha  He’s kind of a buzzkill but whatevs ;DDDD

He would DEF like the idea of her marrying again!!  Tbh, if he’s supporting her claim, he’d probs most like her to wed either Arthur Arrington or Alexandir Godiva, depending on how things go down.  Not only would such a husband strengthen her claim (and vice versa), it’d also satisfy Lucian’s own wounded sense of honor.  In Alexandir’s case, it would give his descendants Arrington blood, so Lucian would feel like he could actually get behind him, yknow?  And in Arthur’s case, it’d assure him that at least one of the rulers would have some measure of sense bc Lucian’s mostly a man of constant eye rolling when in Arthur’s presence, basically.  And short of such an illustrious match, he’d like to see her with someone respectable and high up, yknow?  A Warden or the like.  He’s just sighing heavily bc unfortunately Rowlin’s already betrothed to another, basically, hahaha bc he def wouldn’t mind tying his family and the North to it, if he decides to throw in with her.  Lucian’s weird????  It’s not that he thinks women are unequal to the task, not that he thinks they can’t rule - just that he thinks they shouldn’t bc that’s not how things are done and ‘how things are done’ is v important to him tbh.  And so I DO know he’d want her married right away, regardless, if she were gonna be queen, bc you CANNOT put an unmarried woman on the throne do you think it’s a coincidence that Rowena doesn’t have a husband and is such bad news?????  Lucian doesn’t ok.

HAHAHAHAHA Lucian is def happy they have at least THAT worked out bc lbr that’s important to him THE FAMILY NAME LIVES ON.  Too bad Renfry and he will probs be the last Morans, the way things are looking, and so the bloodline depends entirely on Rowlin and basically ~Lucian!fail~  But securing the throne via his power on both sides of the continent is FAR more important to him bc Aragoth over everything and Rowena is the actual worst too bad she has actual Arrington blood WUT A DISAPPOINTMENT (almost as bad as Arthur ;DDDD)

OMMMGGGG the thing you would do would be drop dead.  Tbh that’s LOys’ actual nightmare...and quite possibly Britta’s actual reality and like she’s like, “This literally could NOT get worse” and then she marries Rob and just goes, “Welp, I was wrong.”

That sounds perf to me!  (Also, Britta is def constantly making wonderful remarks about her mom’s ~old as dirt~ new bf that I’m sure everyone appreciates greatly.)  And it makes sense from Lucian’s pov bc in so doing, he’s linked himself familially to House Arrington even if it’s just his second wife’s step-son’s wife is a cousin????????  STILL.  And so basically he’s already aligning himself to make a move (too bad literally all the males in line for the throne don’t measure up for Lucian)
