Hannibal: I’m going to manipulate, mansplain, manslaughter my way through life! Will Graham: my thoughts. are often not. tasty. Hannibal: whoops malewife it is
Will Graham in jail: Looks like I’ll have to manipulate, mansplain, manslaughter my way outta this! FBI: You’re free now but we still won’t believe you about Hannibal without sold proof. Will Graham: Manwhore it is.
Today my wife texted me this, and then immediately called me to make sure I got it because it was “an urgent message”.
Reblog if you had a Tumblr for 5+ years
You know what messes me up?
This dinosaur skeleton is incomplete. But, it doesn't look that way to us, because the parts it's missing are parts we don't have.
See how there are ribs on the bottom? Those are called gastralia. That's right, dinosaurs had ribs on their stomachs as well, and modern crocodiles and alligators still have them! (Also, notice that the ribs keep going to the hips instead of stopping above the waist. This is also true of modern birds, and why a bird can't have a concave stomach!)
Next, notice that ring floating in the center of the eye socket? That's called a sclerotic ring! Fish, reptiles, birds--with the exception of mammals (and, oddly enough, crocodilians), pretty much all modern vertebrates still have them! It's literally an eyeball bone. Afaik we haven't found a T-rex specimen with any intact, but since we've found them in other dinosaurs, it's very likely they had them too.
So, keep that in mind next time you see a dinosaur skeleton.
i need you all to understand that you are allowed to be horny for women

PSA to New Tumblr Users
DON'T CENSOR YOUR TAGS. DON'T.
Write out 'Suicide' Write out 'Rape' Write out 'Abuse' & 'Assault' & 'Gore'
If you don't use the real words in your tags? People won't be able to filter those out and stay SAFE.
You need to tag properly to keep everyone safe.
Don't water down warnings just because social media has trained you to water them down.
This disclaimer pops up whenever I start talking

This sounds fun as hell.
fun fact, i thought jára cimrman was a real person until my mom told me when I was 13
Weakling.
I know people who were willing to argue that Cimrman was a real historical figure at their maturita exams.
arguing about Cimrman’s realness is actually a glorious way to fuck with many teachers, since almost the whole country is in on the joke that Cimrman was a real person, when you convincingly argue that Cimrman invented/wrote/discovered XY, the teacher is effectively trapped because either they have to accept your bullshit explanation or admit that Cimrman is not real and therefore break the joke and betray the national pride
many of my highschool teachers would preemptively inform us that they will not accept Cimrman as an answer (“we know, we know, he helped invent everything, write about the other people”) just to avoid this
A friend of my dad’s who’s from England but has been living here for years is absolutely BAFFLED by this. “I saw this man’s grave and you’re telling me he’s not real?” He IS real he’s just also made up what doesn’t click
been thinkin about how my ethics professor back in undergrad was like.
look. there’s no such thing as perfect altruism. you’ll always get something out of helping or being kind to others, whether it’s a stronger relationship or returned kindness or just the feeling of having done good. there’s nothing inherently bad about getting something from doing good either, especially since it’s completely unavoidable. people being rewarded for putting love into the world doesn’t make the world a worse place. so just do as much good as you can and don’t worry about being “selfless” while doing it, because being truly selfless is in fact impossible.
and like man did that take the pressure off of Being A Good Person!! you’re allowed to enjoy helping people! you’re allowed to be kind without worrying that you’re maybe secretly just doing it for yourself!! it’s okay if you are doing it for yourself because you’re still being kind to others!!!!!
if it makes you happy to help people then actually you are helping two people
Reblog if you have changed your tumblr URL at least once during your time on the site.
This is a serious thing. Im curious how many people over the course of year(s) kept the same tumblr handle. A ton of the people I follow have changed their over time.
As far as I know Im one of the few who havent. Few being relative as there are millions of tumblr users. But yeah.
Social experiment.
If youve NEVER changed your URL Click Here
*throws ibuprofen on the ground and watches the aging tumblr populous peck at them like chickens*
Don't be ridiculous. Our backs and knees absolutely cannot do that.
