My spouse ranked vox machina characters from their favorite to their least

1. Scanlan- if you know my spouse and their personality this is 100% just accurate

2. Grog - also makes sense

3. Pike - they have been talking about pike and how almost every episode she’s healing someone

4. The twins- they are just kinda there for them

5. Keyleth - just feels that her character is the naive clumsy one. Doesn’t dislike but not their favorite. (She’s one of my favs lol)

6. Percy - the top reason is the reason I made this list. They don’t like his hair 🤣. Like I don’t even have words. They don’t like him when he’s serious but his hair was the #1 reason they don’t like him

Okay but if Essek is still very much living in fear of the Bright Queen hunting him down as of Projekt Funball, I do think he and Caleb should consider seeking refuge in Darktow:

Not only must all the Revelry answer to Kingsley, an authority outside the influence of both the Empire and Dynasty, with all the resources and reinforcements that entails--the isle itself is also a natural fortress. A graveyard of ships shattered across the surrounding Dragshallow Reefs and dashed upon the cliffs. They even have a Dragon Turtle--at Caleb's beck and call. Even if some of the Bright Queen's forces were to invade, I imagine Darktow would still prove difficult to besiege (provided Wyatt isn't in charge, at least--)

If there's one thing Darktow has shown definitively, it is that Kingsley is truly alone--the Mighty Nein were his only real allies, the only people he could rely on. The only ones who would ever try to protect him...I do think having any of the Nein around more is something he needs badly. In spite of how much he may have tried to push his loved ones away at first, it's painfully clear just how lonely he is there--and how deadly that could prove, particularly given the fleeting loyalties of his own crew. He needs people he can trust to have his back. He needs the Mighty Nein more than they know. I think Essek, and perhaps even Caleb, staying in Darktow a bit would be very good for him.

Sorry but Essek in a little pirate outfit being in Plank King Tealeaf's inner circle is just a very funny picture to me, I think it'd be neat. (He is a very good advisor who will always endeavor to help Kingsley's reign go smoothly, even as Tealeaf himself tries to sneak out of boring meetings with other advisors on very pressing, important Plank King matters--)

I think Kingsley would like Essek because he probably sees him as having a similar appeal to his charming Magic Man, who was love at first sight. He also tends to warm up easily to people who didn't know him as Molly initially, because he feels like he doesn't have to worry about living up to their expectations (as with Caduceus). Also, would love to see Kingsley trying to steal Essek's arcane tomes when he's looking for something new to read--

Kingsley getting to flirt with 2 wizards and trying to get them both flustered--

Maybe Essek still remembers the moment he saw Caleb choke back tears as he kissed his dear friend on the forehead goodbye...maybe this time Essek promises Caleb and the rest of the Nein he'll keep Tealeaf safe--

a headcanon is a fact that you have personally made up as an elaboration of canon. it is your invention. e.g. i think morgana and gwen had a teenage lesbian situationship before the events of canon. or, i think modern morgana would love evanesence.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.

fanon is the general fandom’s accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.

these are all different words with different meanings.
