My notes from church today. I really needed to hear it.
We know what God _can_ do.
Psalms 88 is where we were at.
He's taking his sufferings and pains straight to God. He's bed bound, but he's still expressing his fears to God.
Trapped in our spiritual sufferings.
Make a promise, I will not walk away from God. I will keep my faith in God.
"I don't know why you allow me to be isolated and abandoned all my life in hell." But He keeps the faith. First verse again, Oh Lord, God of my salvation.
Faith, Hope. Believers today need that.
Only takes one bad day, one bad week for people to give up the faith. But we will not!
Change your perspective. Who He is to you, who you are to Him.
This is the only Psalm that has no resolution. Heman loves God, but right now darkness has been his closest friend.
There's just something about knowing God and knowing God's love, that just won't let you walk away.
Just take a little time to heal, time heals all wounds.
The Lord is pulling you back. "Alright now, you've cooled off, now come on back."
Keep talking to God. Keep a close relationship. Even when it feels like he's not talking back to you.
When you aim all your despair to God, that's a form of worship. Crying out to Him.
Jesus felt that abandonment when his disciples left him when he was arrested.
Jesus experienced the darkness and wrath of God, on that cross.
Heman said the same thing, "God why do you hide your face from me."
Never walk away, never give up your faith.
Do you really want to know God?
Let me tell you what might come with it.
He's always gonna be the One.
It's not what we see, it's not what we feel. It's what we know.
We know that one day God, himself, is gonna take every wrong and make it right. God's gonna take all that and change it.
We know we are guaranteed eternal life.
This is the promise we look forward to:
He's gonna wipe away the last tear, everything is made brand new. Keep praising God.
