Like yes, I deliver that quality fandom content and try to keep all that flowing, it's true. This is always going to be a space for the fandoms/ships that I love.

But at the same time, my experiences as a black person will always affect how I see things. It has always affected my fandom and media experience, even before I knew what it was. And if that includes seeing the potentially racist holes in your fandom faves, your opinions/hcs, how you treat a character, or anything else- it will likely be pointed out! If you didn't know, that's fine- you can be taught!

after the huge amazing response I got from my ace!Jiang Cheng comic - all of the ace people saying how amazing it felt to be acknowledged, and all of the people who came to me saying that they hadn’t realised they were ace until they read the comic - I decided I wanted to make something for ace awareness week. it’s not quite as pretty or feelsy as the other comic, but there are so many people even within the LGBT+ community who just… genuinely do not understand asexuality, I figured even something basic would help :)

We talk a lot about consent, and that’s a good thing. We talk a lot about autonomy, and that’s a good thing. We talk a lot about privacy, and that’s a good thing.

But we talk mostly about all of that in respect to sex, and relationships, and it’s important to remember this applies to other things, too.

If someone says, “don’t tell anyone I got this new job,” and you then tell people, you’ve violated their consent, their privacy, and their autonomy.

If a friend says, “I don’t like it when people touch my hair,” and you keep touching their hair, you have violated their consent, their autonomy, and their privacy.

If a coworker asks you not to tease them about their new boyfriend, even if it seems like gentle and friendly fun to you, and you do it, you’ve violated their consent, their autonomy, and their privacy.

People remember these things, and they hurt. Not as much as sexual assault, obviously. But those small violations of your wishes, those instances of disrespect, still hurt, and they can add up.

Consent doesn’t just apply to sex. Respect the wishes of others.

Yep! I’ve been saying that for a while now, you can believe that most of the Villains were dealt a shit hand in life while also acknowledging that they’re also bad people for killing innocent people and targeting school kids.

The reveal was awesome though. We all knew it was coming, Horikoshi built it up so well. He still managed to make me gasp in shock over info that I was sure I already knew. Great writing.

Like even if he had it the worst (which it looks like the downfall of his quirk is very, very painful. Though they may have found a way to help him cope had he remained part of society) there are still lots of people who don’t become monsters when they are abused. The study of why people become serial killers, abusers, etc, is not intended to EXCUSE their behavior, it’s meant to try and help improve society so we can reduce the instances of it if possible.

Antis really don’t get it. Saying shit like “THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IF-” in a blacnket statement really invalidates the people who became good members of society despite their trauma. 

I’ve been thinking for a while that if Horikoshi comes out and says Enji also had a bad childhood they won’t accept it as canon lmfao. 

Also, we don’t know how Touya “died” yet as far as I know?? So they just like to make wild accusations that Enji killed him. Some theorize it was an accident.

And finally, Rei is not excused for hurting Todo because she was abused by Enji. There are far too many spouses of abusive partners who get away with allowing abuse to happen to their children, even if they weren’t the abusers themselves.
