The happy list - Quarantine Edition
Currently, our country is still in quarantine due to COVID-19. Two months already passed by and battling my cabin fever hasn’t been easy.
Because of this, I made an executive decision to compile the simple things that have been keeping me sane and giving me a sense of normalcy each day so that I could at least feel some positive vibes around me and help take my mind off of over thinking about what’s going to happen or how is this pandemic going to affect our economy after all this is done.
The list are as goes...
1. I’ve been loving the fact that I could cook/order food anytime of the day and experiment more in the kitchen. Of course, eating makes me feel good. Who doesn’t? ;)
2. I’ve also been catching up with the books that I purchased but never read or re-reading some of my favorite books like John Green’s masterpieces. I lost touch with my bookworm side since I started working and it’s great to be back to reading! It’s a good break from social media too.
3. COFFEE. That’s the word. Lol. Coffee every morning is keeping me sane since it’s the only thing that hasn’t changed in my routine.
4. Skin care. I am glad that I am stepping up my skin care game. I have plenty of time now to use and review the products that I purchased before (but never use lol) At least now I know what works for my skin. Proud of my seeeelf!
These are the things that are saving me from quarantine life. People should try this too. It helps keep your mind off things and forcing yourself to think of happy thoughts or remember happy things would eventually make you feel happy for real. It’s just a mind game with - of course, your own mind. Keep safe!
Just a little reminder for everyone to check on the people in your life that struggles with mental health issues. This quarantine isn’t doing them any good. Make sure to make them feel your presence, support and love!
When you’re in your 20’s nothing is sure. No one knows what you’ll be doing 10-20 years from now. But, this is the stage in life that everyone questions their existence. There’s no blueprint to follow, nor a plan that would be laid out.
All you have is yourself, your curiosity, the kid-like energy inside of you. Use these things to fuel the desire to look for what would really make you happy in life. Don’t feel pressured about what other people have already achieved. It’s not going to affect what your happy ending would look like.
You are the master of your fate. Make mistakes, learn from them, do better next time. Challenge yourself to be a better person tomorrow FOR YOUSELF, not for other people. Effort isn’t wasted if you use it for your own growth.

"Are you ok?"
If anyone asks, answer honestly. Boyfriend, girlfriend, family, friends, anyone. Communication is the key to a healthy relationship with others. Don’t go keeping everything to yourself, then get mad at people that don’t understand what you feel. They’re not mind readers, not everyone is a psychology major that can analyze your behavior. Just talk. Simple as that. You’d be surprised at how big of a help it will give you. Be vulnerable, let yourself feel loved.
