I had a pleasure to draw this fanart for an amazing fic Phoenix by dragonofthedawn on ao3. (which you definitely should read).

happy mother's day to our favourite momma!

I wanted to draw them in matching bobs, no big deal, but then an idea hit me:

What if Gran gran passed away during Katara's stay as an ambassador in the Fire nation? Katara, feeling secluded and alone, decided to follow a tradition and cut her hair. And Zuko, seeing how hard were these times for her, shown her his support by shearing his own hair as well.
