Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. I’m talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.

I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.

It's June 1st, let's talk Pride

Since Pride Month just started in the US, I wanna talk about something I heard recently from someone who is an ally and was well meaning but misinformed:

There are no trans children getting gender affirming surgery. The very rare, less than .04% on teenagers, getting surgery are almost entirely chest related and almost entirely cis-male, GETTING REDUCTION SURGERY TO AFFIRM THEIR GENDER GIVEN AT BIRTH. Study linked.

"Oh but the doctors could still do it, legality doesn't stop people"

Healthcare is a FOR PROFIT business in the US. Doctors are currently letting women who need abortions bleed out, get sepsis, and DIE because they are afraid of losing their medical license. You think that Doctors, nurses, entire surgical teams, entire hospitals, pharmacies, rehabilitation specialists, and licensed therapists are all in cahoots and risking their medical careers for what most surgeons would consider OPTIONAL surgery and not GENDER AFFIRMING HEALTHCARE? With the no insurance?

THINK. I EMPLORE YOU TO RESEARCH. DO NOT BELIEVE THE RHETORIC THAT IS BECOMING 'COMMON KNOWLEGE' IN THIS COUNTRY.

Flies mean a few, worm means 1

“Give me a number” > what’s your status/are you hurt/how are you doing?

The answer is like the pain scale. It doesn’t have to be physical injuries, but 1 is fine and 10 is catastrophic. The mayor usually never goes above 5 mostly out of pride.

“Give me a color” > where are you?

You don’t get all of them- but the city sectors are color coded :). Ryker said grey though which means “I don’t know.”

“The flowers look lovely this time of year.” > Continue on as normal. I have a plan.

Usually The Mayors line! You reply with “they always do.” As a sort of “got it. Understood.”

“Run Rabbit.” > You have an objective. I don’t care what you need to do to get it done. Have free rein. It won’t be held against you.

DEADZONE DEADZONE DEADZONE

so a lot happened today and I wanna talk more about it :D [spoilers for deadzone lore “run rabbit” 6/1]

so I put together a LOT of art for this stream— i got a whole week to work on it and went HAM! warning for a lot of gore!!

RIP Ryker’s left arm :D

so ryker got shot point blank with a shotgun to his shoulder— the INITIAL wound knocked out a lot of tissue and cracked his humerus bone! the wound gets to fester for a whole week, getting infected and all the blood loss causing all kinds of problems in the rest of his arm—

he then has his call with the mayor and basically get the all clear to do whatever it takes to get out. and he knows exactly what that means. his original plan is to dislocate both his thumbs and squeeze out of the handcuffs, but the left arm is too numb to get any pressure— so he rips!

this is mostly possible due to the bone already being cracked, once the bone breaks it’s just pulling the rest and baring the pain. luckily, ryker is freaking crazy and can handle that— arm comes off! and he still dislocated his other hand even though he doesn’t need to cause he’s a lil loopy in the moment, but the handcuffs come off!

grabs a the literal bedsheet off the bed and climbs up with one hand to break the obsidian with his BARE HAND.

time skip! ryker gets back with the mayor! the arm is actively bleeding out and he is going to die— so the mayor kills him! and minecraft logic causes the wound to fully close and scar over! now he’s not in danger but the arm is definitely gone!! :D

also the song used in the cutscene itself is called “lockdown” from the game The Escapists! i think it’s neat—

i have many many more thoughts about rykers mental state in this stream but I specifically wanted to drop my canon gore thoughts! :D

For the two year finale anniversary I rewrote the Jugen Leitner rant to be about Fable

Stupid Idiot Motherfucking Fable Gilded God Damned Fool Book Editing, Page Ripping, Rat Bastar, Car Salesman Lookin , Biggest Fool In The God Damned Pantheon,  Fable Guilded. Stop Pinning me when I talk about Fable Guilded, I hate him so much why does he have access to that fucked up book? Why did he decide to fuck around and find out, is he trapped? Is he a bastard? Why does this man have such a visceral effect on me, never even been in the same room and I know he has the world's most pretentious haircut.

If I wanted to get into Elysium and Ari said Fable Guilded was waiting inside I would piss on Ari’s feet for the sole purpose of getting sent back down. If I had to deal with listening to Fable Guilded speaking one word in person on stream I would close the tab and delete my bookmark out of spite to have to watch the whole SMP over again just so I can skip the parts where he is mentioned and Alive.

I don’t even know why I hate him so much, he hangs out in purgatory and stalks people’s dreams. He better have a horrific backstory to explain why he’s such a prick, if he’s just a rich asshole I’m going to lose it.

He better have had to kill someone for that book, if not I’m going to make him.

I dont care if 9/10 of the people who use the wheelchair ramp arent actually in wheelchairs. As long as the 1 person who needs it has access to it.

I dont care if 9/10 people who use the automatic push button on the library door can actually push the door open themselves. As long as the 1 person who the door is too heavy for gets to use it.

I dont care if 9/10 people who buy the can tab opener, or the little guitar clamp that holds the chords for you, or the hand grip that helps you hold chop sticks, don't need any of it and just get it to "be lazy". As long as the one disabled person who needs it gets access to it.

I do not care. Oh my GOD I do not care. As long as there's a disabled person on this planet who the accessibility device will benefit, the accessibility device is necessary.

Also, if you're so worried about people being "lazy" by using accessibility devices, MORE worried than you are about disabled (visibly or not) people not having access to them, you have unchecked ableism you need to work through.
