Imagine the Mindflayer, during Vecna's fleeting moment of weakness, had decided he was unfit to command the hivemind and open the gate. So, right after the party saw his past - that he could be good, and that he was being used - Vecna resolves himself to evil and turns back to join the Mindflayer. But it's already too late. The Mindflayer kills Vecna, right as El is about to get him. Then the final battle is against the Mindflayer itself. Add onto this what you want - Mindflayer trying to target Will as a host next, its giant shadow form coming back, whatever it was that the entire final season was missing..

Small ways (I think) jjk could've been better: 5/?

Curses are based on human fears... the more collective the fear, the stronger the curse. As seen with oceans, eruptions, nature, and humanity itself. I think some of the sorcerers should have gone up against the curse that also resembled their power. Nobara against a curse that is the embodiment of voodoo; Inumaki against a curse based upon the power of words. Megumi against the curse of a fear of the dark... so on and so forth. I mean, how cool would it have been to see a curse based on the infinite void of space? correct me if I'm missing out, but we never saw how Gojo developed his domain. I hc it was when fighting a special grade curse that embodied his powers, that he learned the technique he needed.

Small ways (I think) JJK could've been better: 4/?

[MAJOR MANGA SPOILERS but like if you dont know by now what are you doing..]

You could argue about the ending of Shinjuku Showdown for weeks. I know I have a lot to say about it. But this is about the *small* things: here's what would have made it infinitely more moving, impactful, and satisfying.

Gojo would have been devasted if he thought Megumi was dead. Beside himself if he knew he had won, and killed him. But instead, we see him standing, proud and smiling, facing away. Maybe I'm misreading his character. There's no doubt that, after everything had settled, Gojo would have put on that proud face to say to everyone "See? it was easy. I'm the strongest, afterall"; but right after the battle ends? Right after the kid who was basically his son dies to his hand? I dont doubt that Gojo's guard would come down, but Gege chose to have it down due to the sheer relief of having won. I think it should have been down over the loss of Megumi. Blinded by his grief, and not his pride, the same way it was with the the prison cube. Standing, kneeling over his body, instead of facing away from it.

Maybe then Gojo would've seen Sukuna alive, still, and had time to react... but yk, that's a different gripe.

Toge arc. that's it. literally just something small, have him congratulate Yuji with a couple real words.. put the inciting incident sometime during shinjuku showdown maybe. make it really important that he communicates something he can't get across so he's forced to speak. and then start to make small steps after. LIKE TWO WORDS OR SOMETHING THAT'S ALL I'M ASKING FOR. he's not even a main-secondary character but cmon... don't disrespect my boy like that
