The devil doesn't fear a man who goes to church. He fears the one who obeys Christ when no one's watching.
Hanya Yanagihara, A Little Life
Please pray for me.
My mother is a hoarder to cope with severe trauma and the progress is slow. I want a usable kitchen but it is so hard because she is disabled and works slowly due to low energy and needs to be in control of the process or else her mental illness will get worse. We have people coming to help but it is disheartening trying to use the kitchen and failing. I live with her due to having severe ME and being mostly bedbound.
Eating has always been a challenge for me but it is especially difficult as of late.
Please pray for us both to be patient with eachover and to love one another as Christ loves us... maybe even to deepen our trust in God through this process
Accidentally put my whole fucking heart into something that wasnt fucking meant for me again fucking hell

This is a really poignant illustration of the seductive nature of glorifying war but that is a LOOK and she is SERVING it
I've seen Death depicted as a card dealer or other sort of gambler, a guy in a suit, a farmer, a robed apparition, and any other number of things, but this? This has to be the best Death I've seen yet. An old seductress saying "hey kid, don't you wanna die in a trench for a government that doesn't give a fuck about you, just like your dear old dad?" This goes hard as fuck.
"I used to know your daddy." kicks like a mule.
Why should we read the Bible?
1. Know God's will (Ps 119:105)
2. Grow in faith (Rom 10:17)
3. Receive instruction (2 Tim 3:16)
4. Receive correction (2 Tim 3:16)
5. Find comfort (Rom 15:4)
6. Find encouragement (Rom 15:4)
7. Share it with others (1 Pet 3:15)
8. Equip ourselves (2 Tim 3:16–17)
9. Overcome temptation (Ps. 119:11)
