Lestat is the better character for switching bodies with the Body Thief, not only because he's the only one insane and foolish enough to do such a thing, he's also hilarious. If Louis became mortal again, for instance, we would have 500 pages of poetry about how miraculous it is to be alive and breathe the morning air, walk in broad daylight and eat good food and drink good wine again.

Since it happened to Lestat, the story goes like: why am I so weak and clumsy? I need to pee. Ops, I tripped in the rug and almost killed myself hitting my head against the fireplace. I really need to pee. Disgusting. Cold, cold, cold. I need to eat. Food is not good, I prefer blood. Now I need to poo.
