Hardest part of writing is accepting that some people will not fucking get it & you just have to like cope with that because over-explaining it just makes it worse
I will not over-explain my art to the stupidest people on earth. I'm writing for people who know what I'm talking about. Mantra that will save you. David Lynch was right
these tags are perfect and I think everyone should see them
THIS.
Have you really lived if you don't have a Sasuke in your life?
I think more people should do research into Japanese architecture and culture when making fanfiction about japanese characters (mostly/especially historical) instead of intentionally keeping it vague when it's relevant or westernizing it because rheyre too lazy. Just my humble opinion. <- also remembering the occasions when I saw hashimada fanfiction where they had them wearing boxers instead of fundoshi or anything where they're using nicknames that would only make sense if their names originated in English
Or just have fun writing your fanfictions however you want, because life is already hard enough and sometimes people just want to enjoy something, especially through your own lense, especially if you're a teenager writing fanfiction and it's okay to interpret stuff in your own way and your cultural context, especially in the fanfiction context.
You're not lazy to do so. Nor is it harmful. You're probably just a person with the need to express something and you decide how to execute your hobby. ❤️ You're a free human being and you do as you please, same as op is a free human being who can read fanfictions with an accurate representation if they wish to do so and like it more.
- A fanfiction writer who tries to be accurate, because it's funny for me and I enjoy the settings.
-- If it interests you, japanese culture is beautiful and diving into it can be an enrichment.

I love how, in Boruto The Movie, Naruto is like “BLAPSHEMY, I would never put a Shadow Clone in Hokage’s ofice, how dare you!” (but I have no problem with sending one to be with my family)
But in Naruto Gaiden he’s like “OMG, Sasuke saw a little kid with sharingan, I must go right away, this is a top priority emergency, he obviously needs me there in person, I’m leaving the village to you, Shikamaru, here, have my Shadow Clone just in case or whatever”.
hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset
the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
sakura we need to have a talk. you have to get your husband under control. first he makes my husband gay. next he becomes a mentor figure to my only son. next he’s at our dinner table eating all our tomatoes saying “this salad kinda sucks... naruto want to go get some ramen.” but he picked all the tomatoes out of the salad first. he is ruining my life. my husband is leaving to go get ramen with sasuke and i’m sitting here with lettuce and a son who looks up to a gay man.

Of course Sasuke eventually burns through all his internal resources and reaches his limits. How could he not? Even when his problems were confined to just being neglected and isolated, losing his entire clan in one night, and having to take on the responsibility of killing his only living relative who wanted to murder him*, Sasuke never does get any real help and support. Instead, people keeps demanding more and more from him. And when he does eventually crack under the pressure that's all people see and remember. At least those people in-universe have a reason to believe the worst about Sasuke, because unless you are on team 7, you never got the chance to know him. But the fandom does know, and the fandom is still so quick to erase all the selfless good he did and ignore the strength he showed, because they never really appreciated it in the first place. Sasuke dying for Naruto? That's just normal; he's supposed to do that because Naruto is the MC and the the universe revolves around Naruto. Sasuke leaving Konoha, giving up his home, his relationships, his own comfort and feelings of safety to risk his own life with an abusive psychopath who might truly be his best chance at survival, other than killing Naruto, which Sasuke chooses not to do? He's an unforgivable, evil traitor who deserves nothing but humiliation and must forever suffer to make up for his evil. Sasuke's "flaw" is that he just does too good job of hiding his suffering and conforming to societies expectations of him. Because he did what he's "supposed" to do and acted as a model orphan. And Sasuke is nothing if not a dutiful son who would rather die than bring shame to his family by opening up to a world that filled with people who do want to exploit him and makes it clear it otherwise doesn't care, his pain doesn't matter, he just needs to get over it, and move on, until he internalizes this and gives up on quietly looking to others for help and takes it all on himself.
*actually Sasuke's problems even in early part 1 are worse than this, but I'm simplifying it. Actually breaking down all the trauma sasuke went through would be it's own essay.

sasuke uchiha. press reblog
it will always be hilarious to me that the big bad guy of naruto who they build up to for the entire story is 90 years old. he’s not immortal or anything, he’s just some old wrinkly fuck bent on defying death. he broke out of the senior living facility to call meteors down from the sky, fight all five presidents at once, and harass his ex boyfriend, and they just can’t. fucking. beat him. it’s not even naruto who kills him, it’s a venus fly trap. naruto didn’t even come close to beating the guy. no one ever did it like him.
