Well you’re not missing out on much, the movie is rather boring. It is one where the movie critics love it cause of the drama and acting but the story is kind of lame. Awesome! See you in 10?
Eh, I guess if the acting is good, then that at least helps a little, right? The worst thing ever is sitting through a boring movie with terrible acting. You got it, bud.

I guess I’m a little sheltered as far as that stuff, only because I’m always so damn busy. Luckily, I’m free right now, though, which pretty much never happens, so let’s do this.

Katie liked to think she was a tough person. She didn’t believe in second chances, which was absolutely ridiculous, but she thought it was necessary. People needed to protect themselves from being hurt, right? She knew that she couldn’t always avoid that, as much as she would like to. It was just easy for her to avoid someone who hurt her. There was no question that Madi hurt her. She made that very clear to the other girl; mostly in an attempt to make her feel guilty. Despite what happened between them, she knew that her ex wasn’t a bad person. She made some bad decisions, and Katie has done a good job at pointing that out; but only because she knew she was a good person. She knew that if Madi saw how much she was hurting, she would feel guilty about it. That’s what she wanted. To make her ex feel guilty. She wanted her to see the damage she had caused. It was vengeful, which wasn’t that surprising. That’s the kind of person that Katie was. She most definitely believed in eye for an eye. If someone did her wrong, she was allowed to do the same. When she thought about her ex before, that was all she thought about. Then she had the opportunity to do so.
Outing her ex was never an option, no matter how hurt Katie had been. She didn’t want to ruin her life; just make her feel bad. When they saw each other last, she could have easily told her off like she wanted. She could have told her to fuck off when she said she loved her. She could have ran off the way she did, only this time just ignore the other girl. But she didn’t. She didn’t, because she couldn’t. As tough as she thought she was, it meant nothing when it came to her ex. Madi made her weak. Even now. Their lips were pressed against each other and just like before; she just froze. This wasn’t at all like she thought seeing her would be. She thought that if she did see her again, it would be one last time. Well, not exactly, since they live in the smallest fucking town, ever. But it would have been the last time that she saw her by choice. Just to tell her how she felt and leave. When she agreed to see her again, she wasn’t sure what would come of it. After admitting what she had before, she just had to see her again. She didn’t know why. She just did.
It took longer for her to respond to the kiss then it should have. She had to convince herself that this wasn’t a dream first. This wasn’t her mind playing some fucked up trick on her. It was actually happening. It was so surreal, but the realization made her kiss back. It was the first thing in awhile to feel so right. If she didn’t know how much she loved her before, this would have been all the confirmation she needed. It felt like they had been doing this yesterday. As if nothing had changed between them. That wasn’t the truth, of course, but fuck the truth. She wasn’t thinking about that right now. The only thing she had on her mind was feeling Madi again. Whatever happened afterwards be damned. She was going to enjoy this while she can.
MADELYN HARPER
A big part of Madelyn had expected Katie to push her away when she kissed her, so she was expecting it, but she wasn’t exactly prepared for it. She didn’t know how she would react to the other girl not wanting her, which was dumb, since she’d put Katie through that same thing, only ten times worse. It seemed to take her a long time to kiss her back, though, and while Mad liked being close to the other girl again, she wasn’t trying to kiss someone who didn’t want to kiss her back. She could feel her heart breaking with every passing second, and was about to give up and pull back when she finally felt Katie kissing her back. Mad’s hands were still gripping onto the material of her shirt, and letting go wasn’t an option just yet. She wanted to make sure Katie stayed close to her, but as her lips moved against the other girl’s, she realized she needed more. Hesitantly, she let go of the shirt, then reached her arms up to wrap around Katie’s neck, instantly tightening them to keep her close.
It was no secret that Madi had pretty big issues as far as people caring about her. Her parents never had, she’d always known and accepted that. All she was good for was for them to show off, and if she did anything that they considered remotely out of line, they’d hate her just a little more each time. She even had abandonment issues as far as her sister leaving, despite knowing that it wasn’t Dani’s fault. It really had messed Madi up when she’d gone, and just added to all of the issues she had as far as her self worth. She was insecure, although she’d very rarely let anybody know that. Katie knew it, though. Mad trusted her; she’d always trusted her enough to let her in.
With that in mind, what she said next should’ve really come as very little surprise, if any at all. Madi pulled back from the kiss, but only enough to catch her breath. She kept her arms around her ex’s neck, holding onto her, her eyes still closed. “Please don’t stop loving me,” she whispered, feeling pathetic for it, but she couldn’t help it. She wasn’t used to people caring the way Katie did, and as much as it’d scared her before, she wasn’t prepared to lose it now. “Please don’t stop caring.”
I am one of those people who can be touchy, but I would have taken it as a compliment from you. I actually just recorded a cover of Cry that I will post either today or tomorrow, so look out for that! I can always let you know when I’m home and if you’re free, I would be happy to have you over! I’m most excited about performing. It’s definitely more exciting than waiting tables.
I think most people can be, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Oh? I can’t wait to hear it, then. Do you have any ideas about what we could sing? I don’t really know many Broadway songs, but I can learn some. I can totally second that, there’s nothing fun about waiting tables, but money’s money, right? Unfortunately, if we want out of Cotton Plant, we have to do things we don’t really want to do.
