pictures from the area 51 raid are honestly poetic cinema and we should all be happy that we are witnessing such a historic moment
Just a reminder because apparently people don’t realize this, but the rainbow gay pride flag isn’t like…a gay male pride flag? it was literally meant as a pride flag for everyone in the community. not that there’s anything wrong with specific identities having their own flag, but i keep seeing ppl post flag sets as if the rainbow ride flag only represents gay men and saying that not including every single other flag known in existence means you’re excluding people when no it’s not the rainbow flag is for everyone
I think this is really important for people who are daunted by all the labels and still figuring themselves out. It’s okay. The rainbow flag is yours too

clingy and annoying doesn’t bother me when it’s from the right person, i literally do not mind if my boyfriend sends me a picture of a car he likes at 3am even if I’m not really into cars, his first thought was ‘i know imma send that to my girlfriend’ and yes i love that shit
The difference between good clingy and bad clingy in giving affection vs demanding it.
Menaka Guruswamy and Arundhati Katju if you wanna find out more about them!
Can the world just be run by gorgeous, brilliant, heart-lead lesbians already?
That photo is grossly whitewashed so here is a better one
from arundhatikatju’s twitter with the caption “Most court days you’ll find me in a sari! Something about the 6 yards makes me sit up a little straighter, collect my thoughts and energy for arguments… #SareeTwitter”

She's gorgeous!!!
How about all of the above
Crowley presented as female during the crucifixion scene? Can you explain that?
Hiya :), it’s the clothes,
Aziraphale is wearing male and Crowley female clothing of that times. There were detailed metas about clothing when first the pic of this scene appeared in march/april but I’m afraid I don’t remember where they were (perhaps someone could share their fav links in the comments :)).
Neil confirmed this as well (x):

One thing that gets my goat is the whole ‘fantasy is escapism and therefore silly and stupid’ thing.
Good fantasy doesn’t make you stop thinking. When you escape, you escape TO somewhere. These worlds all have their purposes. Some give you rest from the stresses of daily life, but some bring out problems that are causing us this stress but frame them in a different setting.
Tolkien wrote about environmental destruction, the cost of war, the deep loyalty that binds people in dire circumstances, things he witnessed in his own life. Pratchett wrote about political corruption, racism, misogyny, justice, self-determination, even elitism in academia, all of which are prevalent issues today.
I think that putting real-world problems into fantasy can be a good way for people to start thinking about them when they’re in a more imaginative mental place and feeling safer because they’re experiencing things through the characters. If you’re a good writer, adding dragons or magic or whatever else doesn’t take away from weighty topics. If your story needs both, use both. It’s not an either/or situation.
If you’re concerned about these stories not being good because they aren’t realistic, it’s worth remembering that to create any story, an author must depart from reality in some way. Every storyteller bends reality by prioritising certain facts over others to build the narrative they need.
I’m not saying you have to like fantasy. We all have our genres. I don’t care for most sci-fi. I’m saying that you don’t gain intellectual gold stars for treating fantasy like it’s inferior.
at least demons dance, but not what you’d call good dancing though
