Are you into writing roleplay? Putting your characters into a world and making them a witness to the horrors™? Averting Calamity may just be the server for you!
First things first, though: what IS Averting Calamity about? Well…it’s a story set BEFORE the events of Terraria’s Calamity Mod! The goal is to try and, well, avert the calamity that occurs! Many homebrew elements and our own canon are involved here, so keep in mind that this does NOT follow the canon tale of the Calamity Mod.
Join a young, scorched and scorned Yharim as he sets out on a mission to fight back against the gods seated above in Aetherus. Or…perhaps you’ll side with said gods? Maybe you’ll be against both sides. Do whatever it takes to leave an impact on this cruel world!
Will Yharim become a tyrannical dictator like in canon? Or perhaps a true hero with the guidance of others? What events will happen, which events won’t? Will something even MORE disastrous fall upon Terraria? It’s all up to YOU to help shape this world!

Averting Calamity is mostly built upon homebrew elements and the server mod team’s interpretation of the lore. This also includes additional content from other games that have been adapted into the server, such as Hollow Knight.
Currently, we are in the PROLOGUE portion of the story. Perfect time to join in! So far only a blood moon event has happened, and the groundwork is being set for future important story beats. But we’re also very active in general just having fun and chatting about our characters + games!
Heavy themes and topics WILL be written about on this server in the story. Be warned and wary. We do not have a set age limit for the server, however we will NOT allow literal children (<13) on here. For obvious reasons + violating Discord TOS.
