This post talks about a white male character’s treatment in fandom and the need to minimize their villanist actions because of sad backstory and need to redeem. More often then not to paint non-white charchters as worse or deserving of the violent actions against them.

A tactic that is never granted to men or women of color against white charachters. It once again sparked  the notion that in fandom (and let’s be honest the world) that white men are always somewhat justified in their anger and rage while poc are not, especially against white men themselves.

This is every fandom and the only difference is the level of which said fandom will deny their active part in it.

It’s a problem, and one that does not go unnoticed.
