Ok. I’m tired of the typical vampire, werewolf and fairy.I’m also tired of the occidental-centrism in mythology. Hence, this list. 

I tried to included as many cultural variants as I could find and think of. (Unfortunately, I was restricted by language. Some Russian creatures looked very interesting but I don’t speak Russian…) Please, add creatures from your culture when reblogguing (if not already present). Almost all of these are fake, these are not the ‘original’ versions of these sayings that were stripped of their meanings to encourage uniformity in the populace or something like that. A quick Google search will show that almost all of these ‘alternate’ versions are significantly younger than the original, sometimes by several hundred years.

The only ones that are actually right are the last five, every other one is wrong.
