Personal Post

I really miss doing things that bring me joy.

Every time I try to draw, I end up feeling sick and ashamed. I can’t stand looking at mediocrity and failure. I know I can’t get better unless I practice, but it’s so painful and embarrassing to be so bad.

I recently took my first step and became a culinary arts student. A part of me regrets my decision, because now cooking is becoming an anxiety-inducing task that reminds me that I’m being judged on it, taking the pleasure that I used to feel away.

Singing was my last, true passion. I’ve wanted to be a performer ever since I was little. I love expressing my emotions through my voice, and I wanted so badly to be looked at, to be noticed, for someone to think I have something special worth admiring.

Even that genuine feeling of peace is slipping away from me.

Nobody is going to look, nobody is going to listen.
