one of my favourite things in the world is casual intimacy. a small hand on your back when you’re in crowded streets. a gentle kick from where they’re sitting across the table. a head on the shoulder, a hand in your hand, a squeeze on the arm as they’re walking past you. and i think maybe love isn’t made up of grand gestures or explosive displays but that it’s made up of the little things. the little things that say i’m here and i care for you and that your life has intertwined so deeply into mine that that there’s no need to think, because casual intimacy comes easy

me an my housemate have been wearing big old hats when we walk into town + bandanas round our faces. the other day I saw a butch girl in the corner shop and she tipped her snapback at me; I blushed a little at the scandal of it all, and have been thinking of her non stop. truly..... it is a wild country out there....

incomplete list of ordinary things that are intimate when u do them for/with someone u love:

-unbuttoning or unzipping clothing

-putting on their necklace

-any hair touching at all

-giving them a bite of your food and u feed it to them off ur own fork

-catching their eye from across the room

-picking fuzz off their clothing

-cooking together and standing over the same pan while you stir and they add things

-sitting in the same room working on different things together in silence

-teaching them how to do something

-doing something for them bc their hands are full

-grocery shopping together
