Reminiscing on my biggest mistake ever tbh (over exaggeration)
Wayy back around the time Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire came out, give or take a year-ish, i decided to use my time on the bus rides home from school to do my very first ever Dedicated Shiny Hunt. I wanted Ralts, a Mega Gardevoir, to be specific, because i wanted to match Wallys Mega Gallade in the final fight against him.
Eventually, i got him. I actually think i got it on one of the rare times i was hunting off the bus, sometime just after my aunt got here. At the time, i remember being a tad bit dismayed that i had gotten a boy, because to young me Gardevoir was definitively a female pokemon. I almost changed my plans and evolved him into a Gallade, but i didnt in the end.
He travelled through all of Hoenn with me, and it was awesome, honestly. I loved him! But i was nothing if not a child who loved to replay their pokemon games. And eventually, i too wanted to replay Alpha Sapphire.
I didnt have it in me to delete him altogether, it felt cruel and unusual, and at that point i wouldnt have heard about Pokemon Bank until probably after Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon came out. So in my young, silly little head, my only choice was to wonder trade him away, in hopes that at least he could have a better life in someone elses game, rather than be deleted.
And honestly, even though i feel the odds are somewhat low, i am often comforted by the thought that hes still out there somewhere. I know i will almost guaranteed never see him again, but the thought that hes happy out there is good enough for me :3
And literally the only reason i brought it up at all is because i was thinking about him in the shower a little while ago! Yay!
