As excited as we are to share our favorite book with all of you, we’ve decided to cancel our Fandom Play Along, originally scheduled to begin this Friday.

Like you, we want to ensure our community’s focus remains on the critical issues at hand, and also understand that the themes that run through Ride or Die — including a corrupt police force — may be difficult for some to see in the main tag.  We’ll be donating the value of the prizes originally planned for the Play Along to Black Lives Matter National, and are excited to share another opportunity for non-creators to participate in #RoDAW in the coming days!  Thank you for your understanding, and your enthusiasm for our little event. Tbh the OH hiatus isn’t even affecting me yet. I mainly play for Bryce, and I saw him last week, so now I’m used to going without him for weeks at a time, and I’m sure many Jackie and Rafael stans can relate.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Ethan stans. Now y’all know why we make posts about missing our LIs.

PB’s wording about Mother of the Year was very similar to their wording in the livestream right before Ride or Die ended, vague anout a book 2. No plans right now, but potential (as opposed to shutting down other sequel ideas) I honestly believe that Mother of the Year was written to be a standalone with sequels potential and that it will get one, but not in 2020 (since they are firming up their 2020 schedule).

But I think it will happen. Especially if the replays are there and the diamond purchases.

Mother of the Year feels more popular than Ride or Die was (at least in the fandom) and might have been cheaper as well.

I agree that they probably left themselves the option of a sequel, especially since they mentioned they've been doing exactly that, and now one seems more and more likely.

I mean I think they are both pretty cheap (and ROD had a lot of recycled art) and I think they were both pretty popular (RoD’s fan base is loyal and I still see a ton of content). But I defiintily think they were both popular and that they encouraged people to spend on them and that MoTY will get an eventual sequel. But again, I think it will be 2021.

We thought we were thriving when we got a cute outfit within a Bryce scene, a scene with Elijah, Raf and Bryce, the chance to kick Mass Kenmore’s ass in the game and if you’re an Ethan stan you even got the chance to finally kiss him again.

But then Kyra collapsed with that dramatic “I just said it would be over soon” and the chapter ended. And now the book is on hiatus til the end of May. Fuck.
