valko being so oblivious (maybe purposefully so) about the controversy him being gay would cause, that he's not afraid at all to be seen in public and at events matching clothes and holding hands with m!reader! when press approaches him for a comment about the speculation, he just flashes them a sharp toothed grin and says "yeah! that's my boyfriend." like it's no big deal.

he'd just be so happy to be able to show you off as his that any fear of controversy or backlash completely leaves his brain. he seems almost giddy when people ask about you, completely ignorant of their tone as he tells them how happy you make him. he'd go to gay bars with you and attend pride parades with the bi flag painted on his cheeks and the biggest smile on his face as he waves around a pride flag.

of course if someone openly doubted your relationship, he wouldn't have any problem decking them in the face for it. but he wouldn't let it ruin your date together, and quickly switches his focus to cheering you up, taking you somewhere with good pastries or your favorite drink just to see a smile back on your face again. :))
