Remembered the hobo/circus clown post that's aware they're living with their predators essentially, which is a real nightmarefuelish thought, but also I keep thinking about a pet clown basically going "lol yeah we're delicious, gimme some of that" because I've been the unfortunate witness to chickens going full dinosaur on a weak flock member. Does that ever happen at all? Spooky clown behavior maybe?

Clowns are indeed capable of eating each other, and certain breeds such as Harlequins even hunt in groups, much like wolves. Scary clowns are the only type that is entirely carnivorous and will eat both animals and other clowns. In the past, their habit of hunting farm animals led to conflicts with farmers, which played a major role in their population decline.

The impact of clown cannibalism can differ depending on what kind of clown is being consumed. Clowns that eat members of more distantly related breeds generally remain healthy, but those that eat individuals from their own breed may experience strange behavior and even illness.

Kikimora the Harlequin

Kikimora is a Harlequin clown of the masked subspecies (V. harlequinus mascatus), distinguished by being born with a mask naturally fused to her face. Yes of course :3 general PSA to clown owners I know clowns are very covered up by hair and ruffles and big suits but PLEASE always apply sunscreen to you clowns when you go out in the summer because they burn SO easily!!
