Cross fading is definitely something I would not recommend unless you’re being supervised. Like, I’m not positive if someone else brought me home last night or if I somehow managed to get myself all the way back there. Being a first time dog mom is confusing sometimes. Mi princesa has been hiding out ever since the storm, but when I got home a couple of days ago, she clung to me and hasn’t left my side since. When I leave, she cries and when I get home, she jumps right back into my lap again. I’m not complaining, it’s actually nice. I’m just wondering why she’s so clingy. Is she trying to comfort me? Can she sense that I’m stressed? These are things I’d like to know.

Have you not been home a lot recently? She probably can sense something’s up with you and wants to give you extra love. Dogs are so pure, we don’t deserve them.

Junie stood awkwardly in the corner of the main room of the suite, arms across her chest as she clutched her red solo cup. She shifted from side to side, glancing around the room full of people. Truth be told, she wasn’t entirely sure why she was here; even at USC she hadn’t been one for parties unless she had a gaggle of friends accompanying her, but when Tessa had invited her to the party she couldn’t find it in herself to even consider saying no. Granted, a party was a better way to interact with Marisol than practically stalking her where she worked. She caught sight of her standing alone then, for the first time since Marisol had shown up and immediately been whisked away by her friends and family. Juniper rocked onto her toes in indecision before scurrying her way, once she caught sight of someone else making way her. “Hi,” Junie beamed, sweeping her hair out of her face as she forced herself to keep from swooning over the woman in front of her. “Happy birthday! Are you having fun?”

Okay, but Marisol was so incredibly hype about this party, she didn’t know what to do. Obviously she knew some kind of shit was gonna go down, because her siblings were her siblings but this was crazy. To rent out a suite in the Princess Hotel itself must have cost them a fortune, and while Marisol knew money wasn’t exactly tight in the Applebaum clan, she enjoyed being spoiled. As a happy, high voice entered her stream of consciousness, Marisol whirled around, a martini glass in her hand. “What the shit,” Marisol’s eyes widened as she saw Juniper in view. “Oh my god, my siblings hired a Motta! Fucking amazing! What’s up, Junebug?” She immediately slung her arm around Juniper’s shoulders, beaming as she walked them both to a quieter corner. “I’m having a fucking ball. Your dad knows how to decorate a sleeping place. What the fuck are you doing here? Not that I’m like, not happy to see you, but still.”
