i think thalia was selfish in her choice of the prophecy, but not in a bad way

Ive seen so many people argue over whether or not thalia was selfish for becoming a hunter of Artemis and putting the prophecy back onto percy, and i think yeah, she did that out of a selfish desire

but you can have multiple reasons for doing something, overall her actions gave the camp longer to prepare and it connected the camp to the hunters of artemis better,

she was almost 16, only alive again for a little while and being trained over this prophecy, she had lost her little brother to the gods, she by no means should be alive either yet she is. She chose to join the hunters because she wanted control over her own life again and to help the camp

Her actions were fueled by both selfish desire and a sense of justice for the greater good, what she did was for the best

and shes a teenager, shes allowed to not want to have to fight a war in a week and kill her best friend before her first “death”

People constantly talk about wanting complex characters yet cant handle the fact that just because she did something for herself and was a little selfish it still was the best option and she isnt a horrible person for doing it

When camp half blood got that burnt message saying percy and Annabeth were is Tartarus everyone was worried of course

Not even gods dared to venture there, they all thought they were as good as dead

No one could ever in the past accuse Clarisse about caring for percy, but maybe if she was twitchy since she found that out, people pretended not to notice

they also pretended not to notice how she would hold her boyfriends hand extra tight during the meetings, and stare at the aphrodite cabin.

No one would mention how she wasnt rude to athena cabin for once, or how she didnt make fun of percy when he was brought up

and maybe she would refuse to say it to anyone but chris but percy was the only one who wasnt scared of her or her father, actively challenging her and making her work

and maybe she had known annabeth for so long since they were both young, playing together and fighting like siblings.

Maybe she had grown closer to annabeth helping her look for percy and was a little worried

and maybe she yelled at people when they brought up how they could be dead

but she would blame that on the on coming war that she had to plan for

And no one would push

because they all understood too, but clarisse wasnt one to talk about feelings

especially not since silena died.

And just maybe. MAYBE. clarisse hugged percy extra hard when he got back, and maybe she cried a little on annabeth. but no one would mention it, but they knew. everyone knew.

honestly hearing that joel makes his intros LAST in his videos makes a lot of sense. both logically and in his case specifically because oh yeah you wanna know what you introduce Wrong he is going insane after gigantic fucking mega projects. like if i spent hours and hours of my life building the next sistine chapel in minecraft i too would make my intros incredibly strange and concerning. i would deserve to let people know im going insane after i went insane doing all that work. carry on mr. shadowlady
