Never gets easier

I had a friend say to me yesterday, “you miss him every day, don’t you? Like, the distance never gets easier, huh?”

Like, no. It doesn’t.

Sometimes it takes longer for outsiders to understand what we go through in a long distance relationship. Be patient. Be kind. Remember your strength. Pray.

Clarity

It’s so easy to be frustrated and overwhelmed by the distance. More often than I’d like, I lose focus on what a good thing that we have going.

But then I have these moments of complete clarity that remind me why we do this.

I just want to stay in these moments where I’m so in love with you it doesn’t even matter where in this world you are. In these moments thinking about you, about us, gives me an overwhelming sense of calmness that I can’t even describe as anything else but pure love.

I want to live in these moments of clarity, see past the confusion of distance and life and technicalities… And just love.

I love talking about the future together. I like saying I want to travel to a lot of places and having him ask which one we’re going to first and if I want to go next summer. When he tells me that people at work as about me and he tells them that I’m special and that I’m the one. I love hearing stuff like that. It makes me feel so secure in our relationship. I am so in love with this boy. I never thought I’d fall in love but he made it hard not to. Someone tell me how I was so lucky to find a guy who is absolutely crazy about me and who would do anything in the world for me? I can’t wait until he’s back home.
