if you look closely, you can see the feathers clinging to my back.
What are you enjoying lately? Music, books, vegetables, fruits, spaces etc
Thank you so much for this thoughtful question! Lately, I've been enjoying:
1. My garden. Somehow, my outdoor gardens survived my absence while I was farm-sitting for my sister. I keep referring to my peppers as my "miracle peppers" because they were truly decimated by aphids and GREW BACK after treatment, from bare stalks. They amaze me every day.
2. Music questions always make me nervous. Really, I'm a total omnivore. I tend to like intense music and art. Lately, music by: Massive Attack, Lord Huron, The Vampire Lestat, and Florence & the Machine. But I am really on a constant rotation. While I'm writing/working, it's usually Ramin Djawadi, Hans Zimmer, Tchaikovsky, and/or Ludwig Göransson.
3. Not last because of my enjoyment level, but because of how often we get to play. I feel like DnD has been a major positive force in my life since I started in 2020. It has probably saved my life, if I'm being honest. I love it so, so much. My group got to play in person for 12 uninterrupted in June, and I'll never forget it.
4. Water water water lakes lakes lakes.
5. Literature with beauty, ugliness, and tension. Lately I've been perusing Whidbey by Y Kira Madden, Our Hands Hold Violence by Kieron Walquist, & Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy. What do you like to read? I live to give recs.
please ignore my fuckass backpack; i was having an awful day.
