Projects For the Summer

Here is a list of generic projects I’ll be trying to do for the summer:

-Scrapping: Tearing down machines and parts for scraps! (might even do some chemical based stuff for gold scrapping)

-Build Computers: Already built 2! (one for me, possibly later to be given to someone else, and one for my friend which is a monster of a machine that we made dirt cheap)

-Metal Work: Might make a refractory furnace to melt metals then forge or cast and work from there.

-Wood Work: Whittling, furniture, stuff like that.

-Thermite Experiments: Melting, welding, and just lots of fun!

-Gun Stuff: We’ll see, there is not a lot for me to do in that respect at the moment.

Not all of this may be heavily documented but is there anything you’d want to see?

Live Update!

So summer has officially kicked off for me and I will finally get to do real updates! Just to catch up, my engineering project went well. We presented our project to an industry leader and watched other groups with different projects present, apparently we had the best project or presentation for the group because he was very happy with what we delivered and had very few questions. Also my friend John and his engineering team won a 3D concept and modeling competition (the name of it escapes me but the judges said it was an achievement worth putting on the top of his resume).

How many engineers does it take to do simple math?

Well apparently there were 4 of us that just for the life of us that couldn't figure out simple addition and division but the person who is a graphics design major had it down like instantly. Over complicating things is just what engineers do I guess.

Okay so I know that I have not updated this in a while but I am currently just getting back in to the swing of things at school thanks to spring break. Got a lot of exams and my engineering project coming up.

I do apologize if my updates are less frequent over the next couple of weeks.

Also, I can’t say a lot about this project since the school owns like 85% of the rights on anything I do for the school (or myself while in school); however, me and my team are designing an off-road human powered vehicle which is designed to be used by a person who is missing an arm or is not able to use one of their arms.

Got the flash hider on the barrel, the barrel fitted to the upper, gas tube and block in place, and the head spacing is a go!

Next step and parts that are coming in; getting my upper receiver and my barrel. Should be able to post an update as soon as those get put together, which will be very soon!

So this is a two in one update because I got them both today, but my most recent shipment came in and I got my MBUS sights; on top of that my local gun store had these awesome BCM gunfighters on sale! (cheaper than anywhere I could find, awe ye.)
