OR, maybe, just maybe, and hear me out here, MAYBE the actual reason is that not as many people in this day and age feel a pressing urge to spend money on mediocre food at an exploitative business just because some boobs are under a t-shirt in the same room? This promise was an exciting novelty only to a pre-internet and wealthier generation which simultaneously felt far less shame in leering at or catcalling women but far more shame in looking at porn. Hooters was softcore pseudo burlesque for married Christian men and the culture permitting its success will likely never be repeated and shouldnât be.
Hooters always seemed really weird for me for this exact reason. Itâs like this bizarre fusion of strip club and family restaurant that no one asked for. The food isnt great, everyone is fully clothed, even the staff exists in a creepy limbo where theyâre not actually strippers, but theyâre only there because of their tits. Its like if someone decided to turn exploitation into a chain restaurant.
Millennials go to an actual strip club or burlesque show if thatâs what theyâre into, and then to a good wings bar after. Thereâs no need for a completely mediocre combination of the twoÂ
How dare they accuse us of not liking boobs. How dare

This was made using Dr Martins watercolors on Arches hot press watercolor paper! I used some prismacolor pencils at the end for little details as well as some Dr Martins bleed proof white ink mixed with watercolor for opaque highlights!
Fun Vampire Fact; the reason that Vampires traditionally cannot see their reflections in a mirror is because mirrors used to be backed with a reflective layer of silver â which, as the metal of purity, would not âinteractâ with Vampires, who are the Devilâs work.
However, modern mirrors have used aluminum as their reflective backing for many years now â and aluminum is not a âpickyâ metal at all. So Vampires are able to see their reflections in modern mirrors.
All I can think about is a vampire used to not seeing their reflection in mirrors for centuries, and one day they are just walking along and unknowingly pass a mirror backed with aluminum and THEY NEARLY SHIT THEMSELVES.
reblogging for that gif
Good stuff.
This. This is good fiction writing advice. I really appreciate how it was formatted as âthis is a common problem, here is a solution to try in your own workâ and not âoh god, donât do that!â without any extra help. And I extra appreciated the âdonât rely on adverbsâ bit, because they do have their place but they arenât the only way actions can be emphasized.
OMG, Okay I just started to see the new Netflix series Hilda. After I first saw the trailer, I thought, âHey, it looks like Norway / Swedenâ. And I mean in every detail, from landscape to house and interior. BUT the best and most unexpected thing is that itâs a legit beautiful and cute representation of our myths and folklore. No typical American figthing with ridiculous over powerd creatures as its often is display as on tv. No pure good vs pure evil shit like in lord of the rings. But more how the fairy tales actually is told here!
The trolls fear of bells, the life of the last giants, people who invade the Huldrefolks settlements! Itâs like my grandmotherâs fairy tales I heard as a child. The normal life of a normal human and the normal âhidden world.âÂ
So this series is not only cute and aesthetic, it is smocked with cultural undertones and folklore references, as well a good show  representation our myths of the âhiden worldâ of elfes, trolls, huldror, rĂ„ and giants.
The creators of Hilda did their research, i if you have the cultural understanding of the myths it gives sooo much more depth and meaning to ditales!Â
12/10 would recomend!Â
