Also for a show about translation, the subtitles were absolutely horrendous. I don’t even speak Korean (just a handful of things I’ve picked up from the dramas) and I could tell so many times when the subs were just plain making stuff up, and of course other times where all of us were just scratching our heads trying to understand the unintelligible dialogue we’d just “heard” but that was probably just the fault of bad translation. Not to mention the way they try to gaslight the viewers by changing it so that every time someone mentions “speaking Korean,” the subtitles translate it to “speaking English.” Like when Hiro starts learning Korean, the subtitles always say “I’ve been learning English.” What the heck?? And when someone actually does speak English, they’ll just pull out a different language entirely and try and tell you that the English speaking characters are speaking Mandarin. I can hear the English with my own ears????

Oh god... Thank God someone else hated the subs too.... It did not make sense 50-60% of the meaning of the sentance was lost at least in the romantic scenes....i can do a better translation that... Google translate can do a better translation then that
