i'm thankful for opla for reminding me that while zoro has never been normal about luffy, he's only grown EXPONENTIALLY worse. la zoro is upset he wasn't the one to go with luffy & telling sanji he'll slice him if luffy is hurt, sure, but this is his hesitant yearning era. soft smiles, heart eyes, waiting for luffy to come to him, still trying to figure out his emotions. post time skip zoro knows what he wants (standing side by side w his captain) and he gets it. 'i'm going with luffy. a stupid straw won't stop me.' 'i'm coming with you' 'i'll follow luffy to hell if i have to'. they are a bonded pair do NOT separate.
