there's a viral video going around of someone who snuck a camera into the tunnel and caught shane and ilya embraced right before they hit the ice. it's an incredibly warm and tender moment, they're holding each other so tightly. ilya's face is buried in shane's hair and he's kissing his head while whispering something to his husband. and they're kinda slowly swaying together, and shane's got one hand caressing ilya's back while the other one is just playing with the ends of ilya's hair. and it's the most domestic and romantic thing that anyone have ever seen from them. they're just so soft and in love and and the fans are mad about the invasion of privacy but also so grateful they got to witness such a beautiful moment between the married hockey players. and harris is absolutely beaming because for once the hollanders are viral for something nice instead of some chaotic or unhinged moment

they’re sitting side by side in the bench, third line is on the ice. shane is without his helmet and ilya took of one of his gloves and is stroking shane’s hair. shane is so used to receiving affection from his husband that he’s not minding at all even though they’re in the middle of a game right now. he’s focused on the game while his husband is showing him affection but without realizing he turns toward ilya’s hand, takes it, kisses the palm, and turns back. ilya keeps stroking his hair and then laughs and mutters “fuck”. noticing that something went wrong shane looks back and asks “what’s up?” and ilya nods upward and shane follows the direction his husband is pointing and comes face to face with his own face on the jumbotron. he goes “shit” and looks back at ilya and they both laugh and ilya says “at least harris will be happy about this”. harris and a million people.

✨The house in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune ✨ I found it to be a lovely and fun story. Throughout the year, I hadn’t read many books with children in them, so it was a refreshing and a-do-ra-ble change 💜. 

I read this book with my book club 📚, and it was so hard to choose a favorite character 😩. The best part is that the delulu will continue because I already have the second part in my hands!

Linus Baker was made for the folks that knew that if they stayed in their room or did not draw attention their own parents would forget about them when they were a kid. He was made for the folks that had realizations that not only did people in their life not give a shit about their opinions, but those people had a great time when they wasn't around, thriving even. The immense pain of that kind of loneliness and neglect not many people will understand or hell even want to understand because if you grew up this way. Then you will also convince yourself that you are the toxic element and not the other way around. You will know just how fast people will redirect the conversation when you try to open up, or have your crash out moment to get the pent up emotions out. I'm just saying Linus Baker DESERVES ALL THE FUCKING FLOWERS.
