bad news for lung health proponents everywhere but unfortunately a woman smoking is very sexy
I journaled for 18 pages about fun home so yeah I think we can safely say it made me feel things
Also I finally met Alex, in the theatre cafe!! She was there with her family so didn't intrude, but said hello to her on her way back to their table and she kindly stopped for a bit to chat to me 🥰 I told her I had extended my stay to watch it again, we shared some frustration about a man's phone going off SEVERAL TIMES in a row and she talked about what a weird experience it is seeing your own lines during a captioned performance.
I will be thinking about this show for a long long time, god
so I saw fun home.... It was so good that I have delayed my train home and booked tickets for tomorrow's matinee as well!
also if you are going, the best seats in the house (especially to see Alex but also I would say generally) are B31 and B32!

"lock in" is probably one of the most important phrases to enter the public lexicon in the 2020s

genuine writers getting wrongly accused of using ai because of witch hunt and proper grammar/structure in their works must be what being a woman in the 1600s who is wrongly accused of being a witch because she can read and is intelligent feels like

lesser movies than mamma mia (2008) would've made the central conflict be between the three dads and stoked endless competition and jealousy between them, fighting about who gets to be sophie's "real dad" and who has (and had) a "right" to pursue donna but mamma mia is no such movie. mamma mia is a cinematic masterpiece and as such they are pals throughout, happily go along with all the shenanigans and spend loads of quality time together throughout the film. they are just vibing! and then all three of them become the dads no questions asked. no drama! only vibing in greece
I've been in a situation where I've had to wear a waistcoat every day for the past week, and honestly I look so gay and so hot in it I might have to get myself some waistcoats to wear more often, I feel incredible??
Update: someone ELSE told me I look hot in the waistcoat today so this is empirical truth now actually and I will be feeling very smug about it
Update update: I bought a waistcoat and went to a party in it and on the way there, not only did MORE THAN ONE woman give me a kind of flirty look, men were ACTIVELY AVOIDING ME! Even though it was a technically "revealing" outfit! Can I bottle this feeling I swear I've just unlocked the cheat code to life?!
No matter how shitty it might feel in the moment, most of the time when someone comes to you to communicate a boundary or a need or a negative feeling about something you did, it is actually a compliment. They are telling you BECAUSE they care about you and want it to work between you and because they trust you to care to do better. If they didn't care about you, they'd just avoid you. That uncomfortable convo is in fact a declaration of love and trust. Or at least intention of friendship. If they didn't like you, they'd just try to avoid you whenever possible. They wouldn't care to have The Talk (which is often scary and uncomfortable for them also). So try to treat their trust with care, even if it really upsets you to learn that you've accidentally hurt them
Where is Montagu?

you've met me at a very "yeah i'm trying to work on that" time in my life
