Daniel: Good. I'm having dinner with Gwen tonight, but you and I should do something together soon.

Daniel: Reminding her that she's a bad friend would definitely not help you out any. You just have to decide for yourself if she's worth waiting for her to come around or not.

Daniel: Don't do that. If I'm not allowed to wallow in my guilt over letting you down, you're not allowed to give up on humanity because of a bitch like her.

Daniel: Be insensitive if you want, Michael. Hell knows that I am often.

Mike: She is. I think.

Mike: Fineeeee.

Daniel: I can't tell you but perhaps giving her some space again would be the best decision for now. And perhaps you did, but we all make mistakes like that.

Daniel: You're not a bad friend and you should not feel guilty. Do you remember when I made the mistake of hurting her and you stuck by her side? That was not being a bad friend.

Daniel: Maybe you do put too much faith into people but that doesn't make you in the wrong. It's on us for letting you down.

Mike: I wish I could remind her of that. Like a point system for friendship longevity. But it would probably make her angrier. And more distant.

Mike: Too many people let me down. Sometimes I think I shouldn't put faith in anyone anymore.

Mike: For the record, that Clair thing was the only time you've let me down. And we're all over it and everything's halfway forgiven, so don't like /sink into a depression over that single wrong, okay?

Mike: That was insensitive. Sorry.

Daniel: I'm really immensely proud of you for standing up for her, but I am sorry that it's putting such a strain on your friendships.

Mike: No, I can't.

Mike: I don't know what to do about it. And I don't know if I should've expected it or not. Maybe I put too much faith in Clair's character.

Mike: Typing that out makes me a bad friend, but then, evidence of her being a terrible friend and person are out there for everyone to see. Why should /I/ feel so guilty?

Mike: That makes two people in town happy for us. You and Daniel should start a club. And then wait for it to get criticized and disband it.

Mike: Sorry. I'm just...disappointed.

Mike: Explosions? Do tell.

Melissa: I hope you've been good! And when were you gonna tell me about you and Gwen!

Mike: I've been okay. Traveling and stuff. Think Kerouac.

Mike: Long story short until we do hang out--I didn't really notice how much I liked her until it was happening. And then I stopped being stupid and oblivious and asked her out.

Mike: What have you been up to since we last saw each other? I hope you've got a year of stories to tell me!
