“There’s an academic gender gap/boys are falling behind girls in school..” If the education gap was reversed, people would be praising boys for their intelligence. There would be no talk about girls falling behind because no one would care. Why does this conversation frame men and boys as victims? Why are we not talking about how impressive and smart women and girls are?

In a mine the coal is the point. The hazards of the job are obstacles in the way of getting coal. Occupational safety works to identify and mitigate those hazards, with the ultimate goal of an accident-free workplace.
In hardcore porn the harm is the point. Men pay to see women degraded, humiliated and roughly handled. Women’s suffering is the product being sold - instead of trying to mitigate that harm the owner facilitates it for profit. Women in porn have a high rate of trauma disorders and tissue damage as a direct consequence.
The male-dominated career most like porn isn’t coal mining, it’s American football. The crowds want to see giant men violently tackle each other to the ground - the violence is an integral part of the product being sold. The men who play develop traumatic encephalopathy as a direct result. If football were like mining the goal would be to get the number of tackling incidents as close to 0 as possible. The players would work together to safely deliver balls to the end zones. Instead football is like porn - an adversarial process in which the players are intended and encouraged to heap abuse on one another.
So you can see it doesn’t require cloudy moralism to say football and violent porn should be abolished. No, it’s entirely consistent with the position that mining should proceed - with comprehensive safety regulations zealously enforced by a strong union. If porn were treated the same way, the most popular genres of porn (rough sex, bareback, humiliation etc) would be impossible to produce. On TV college athletes would play flag football instead of tackle, and the next generation of athletic young men and attractive young women would grow up without the crippling damage our sadistic entertainment industries inflict.
Realistically I could never get rid of tumblr because it gives me the illusion of a community of strange young women all around my same age, all slowly figuring out how to live too

If you go on Reddit and look for sexuality related subreddits, you’ll notice that none of them explicitly mention welcoming people not of the sexuality in the name. The bisexual subreddit is for bisexuals, the gay male subreddit is for gay men (I think they include TIFs, but from the gender ideology perspective they’re still only including gay men). But the “lesbian” subreddit makes it very clear that EVERYONE is welcome, which is a perfect display of how we’re treated by the “queer” community. Not allowed to focus on ourselves, expected to cater to everyone else and allow them to walk all over us.
It’s frustrating that everyone else gets their own space, but we have to let them have ours as well. Lesbians aren’t running up to bisexual online spaces demanding to be welcomed, because we know those spaces aren’t for us. So why can’t bisexuals offer us the same respect? Why do they need two spaces, leaving us with none?
Sorry to rant on this post, it’s just something that bothers me. Because any sort of “lesbian” space, even offline, seems to be required to include “actually it’s not just for lesbians, it’s for everyone!!” Because people can’t seem to handle letting us have anything to ourselves.
they can’t let lesbians even have ONE space where attraction to women is what is centred. it can’t be lesbian-only because apparently it’s bad for there to be a space exclusive to us, and it’s also bad to not make it about attraction to men because that would hurt the feelings of OSA women who easily outnumber us. it doesn’t even make sense, it’s just lesbophobic

I’m studying and despite being tired, I will NEVER EVER say “I wish we didn’t have to go to school as before”. A spit in the face to thousands of women that TO THIS DAY can’t get an education that would grant them an independent and fulfilling life under every aspect. Actually, they are the reason why I’m pushing myself.

I gave up on having relationships with men 7 years ago and I have never been more happy and at peace than in the last 7 years.
I don't interact with men unless I'm forced to. I choose female cashiers. I cancel Lyfts until I get a woman. Empathy and charitable donations go to women and women-run organizations like Reduxx. Life is just better this way and I'll keep it up until I achieve my goal of living in a women's-only land or commune.

You want to know what's expensive about being female? Tampons, pads, birth control, gynecological exams, getting paid less than men, therapy because of things men did to you, increased medical bills due to improper diagnosis and treatment and lack of medical research involving women, increased medical bills due to things like safety test dummies being male bodied only therefore increasing our risk of injury, increased medical bills due to increased genetic likelihood for several illnesses or due to pregnancy and childbirth, having less energy than men because they've worn you down and made you take care of them and the kids and the house and everybody else so you don't have the energy to pursue extra financial opportunities or even hobbies, women's clothing lasting less time than men's and needing replaced more often, (in many cases) being strapped with a large portion of the bills for your kids' needs (if fortunate enough for the father to stick around/pay child support at all)... should I go on?
like imagine saying “once a trans woman politely asked me to stop talking about a subject that made her (and probably many other trans people in the room) feel dysphoric in a space that was specifically designated as a safe space for trans people so i ‘peaked’ and decided to join a violent fascist hate group” and then expect me to feel sympathy for you. like. what the fuck even, you know? what are you on
I read this and was immediately reminded of a peak trans story! It was a woman who was in a cancer group for women who was told that she wasn’t allowed to discuss any symptoms or issues which related to her being female (vagina, uterus, periods, breasts) because it made the one trans woman in the group uncomfortable and caused him to have dysphoria. The OP had breast cancer and other members of the groups had uterine and cervical cancer, but suddenly they weren’t allowed to discuss that in a group which was literally designed to support them because the comfort of the one trans woman in the group was more important than women being allowed to discuss their bodies and symptoms in a group which was designed to do exactly that.
So just to reiterate that: a breast cancer survivor/sufferer was told to not speak about cancer symptoms which related to her female organs in a women’s cancer support group because it made the trans woman in that safe space uncomfortable.
And I know that this is not the only story out there like that but it’s the one I can remember the most. Almost every other one which is like what OP is describing is the same though: trans people silencing women on their bodies because women discussing their anatomy makes trans women uncomfortable.
But OP wants to leave that part out and act like it’s something petty and not massively misogynistic to force women to stop discussing their bodies because it makes trans women uncomfortable. All it shows me is that you either read stories like that with such a biased point of view that you massively miss the point of what’s being said or you don’t recognise misogyny as a valid form of oppression so silencing women on their bodies is fine for the comfort of trans people.
