telling someone "you know it can't love you back, right? đ if it's in the house with you when you die, it will eat your corpse without hesitation" about their husband
I just watched the movie the Grizzly Man, about the bear enthusiast and photographer Timothy Treadwell who thought he had developed a special bond with the bears that he knew and thought they saw him as a friend like he with them, only to be killed by one he knew. After that I got reminded of male sympathising women who have the "oh I can fix him" and/or "he isn't so bad see?" ways of thinking. These women think that these males see them as friends and equals, only for the men to eventually turn on them and, in a worst case scenario, kill them. Maybe this is just me being sleep deprived but just like how Treadwell projected his humanity onto the bears, women will project their humanity onto men, and forget how dangerous they truly can be

this is why there is no longer lab research on pornography.
âCountless studies have since shown that exposure to pornography desensitizes men to violence against women, often shaping their sexuality in such a way that they become unable to experience arousal without some element of dominance or violence. The evidence has been so damning that, at times, universities have refused to allow further research on the topic. When a study shows detrimental effects that cannot be reversed, ethics boards will often refuse similar studies to go on. This has happened repeatedly with research on the effects of pornography.â

some of y'all are strong, brave and invincible feminist women until a woman on tumblr.com implies that separatism is a good idea and that women should try to stop dating men for feminism and safety reasons, then there's no strength or bravery left it's literally too much to handle and you're all crying and shaking in your boots. grow a fucking spine
One year ago. We're running on a loop fr
Watched a video about amish ppl and the girl making the video was all "well they seem happy and the religion seems pretty much unproblematic so who am i to say anything is wrong?"
And in the same breath goes "sexual assault particularly of young girls is rampant in the amish community" and it's like....
HUH....i wonder why that is?????
Could it be that a uniquely isolated community run by the most strict gender roles imaginable and extremely religious is actually bad for women and girls?
nah. Just let them do what they want, they're not hurting anyone
"Men's sexuality is visually oriented women's sexuality is relationally oriented" I really resent the idea women don't care about looks or the idea that women prioritizing warm relations and emotional safety over looks is "natural". Maybe hetero men should get systemically raped and sexually violated for 10,000 years and then we check back to see if they are still only primarily visually oriented or if they start caring about good relations and warm, safe feelings more too. Men just being able to focus on what aesthetically pleases them sexually is not "natural", it's a privilege afforded by social domination and having less to worry about safety wise.
you can only think women are being discriminatory and bigoted for refusing to have sex with a certain demographic if you believe that her body is a public resource that someone can wrongfully be denied access to - a facility that everybody should be allowed to use at will.
Heads up, this is a terf post
Claiming that itâs âterfyâ to exercise sexual boundaries is an extremely dangerous (not to mention downright misogynist) claim
Believing that anyone can have âincorrectâ sexual boundaries is rape culture
Itâs literally a post about not wanting to have sex/date/interact with trans women because theyâre âall secretly predatorsâ thinly veiled as an anti rape culture post, pretending otherwise makes it seem like you never took a basic English class
If you think anyone is obligated to give you romantic and sexual attention you ARE a predator.Â
Funny how trans women werenât mentioned even once
This reminds me of the time trans activists got upset about some state enacting harsher penalties on pedophiles. They said, with straight faces, that a law like that would "disproportionately target trans ppl"
They know what they are
âThereâs so much more to womanhood than body parts and chromosomes đ„ș itâs actually identifying as a stereotyped gender role that was created by men in order to oppress women, keep them out of the work place, infantilise and sexualise themâŠđ„șâ
French court case is challenging mediaâs stereotype of the crime and the language used in reporting it
âBravely, GisĂšle PĂ©licot, 72, has waived her right to anonymity to seek justice for all women who are victims of voyeurism, drug rape and secret surveillance, an unholy trinity of crime that can turn a 21st-century âsmartâ home into a chamber of horrors. Some of the accused claim that she had given consent, an issue at the heart of most rapes. âI was a dead woman,â she said quietly in an electrifying testimony at the criminal court in Avignon. âThese people knew exactly what they were doing⊠They treated me like a rag doll.â PĂ©licot told the court that her calm demeanour masked âa field of devastationâ.
She is a one-woman challenge to the many myths that surround rape and obscure the reality that in a misogynistic patriarchal society such as the UK, less than 3% of rapes result in charges, much less a conviction.
Here, the coverage of the case has so far been relentless but restrained, perhaps because she is in her 70s and a grandmother, ânot the usual sortâ. Restrained, that is, apart from a headline, quickly changed after protest, in the Daily Telegraph that originally read: âWife takes public revenge on the men who âraped her every night on husbandâs ordersâ â Revenge or justice? Choice of words matters.â
Some tweets I like
She always cuts right through the BS.
âNot all menâ you cry, as all the rest who arenât the legislators, soldiers and politicians sit back and watch. Whether it be in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan where women have quite literally lost their right to speak in public, India with a sexual and domestic violence epidemic almost unheard of, Iran where women are murdered by police for removing their veil, the United States where womenâs reproductive rights have been lost, South Korea with their spycam epidemic, France where a womanâs husband invited round dozens of men who lived locally to rape her as she lay unconscious, Iraq seeking to decriminalise marrying young girls, or how literally anywhere in the world you can access footage of women being sexually abused on page 1 of the biggest porn sites and google images with the simple click of a mouse.
âNot all men are violent oppressorsâ the rest sit back and watch. Immediately after telling us that they are our natural protectors, best equipped to defend us against hostile forces, men sit back and watch, or even cheer, as those oppressors roll into town.
And everyone in the comments is talking about how it ânever gets easierâ like⊠Iâm sorry youâre so upset over it, hope you feel better but itâs your name⊠how are you gonna handle life if you canât write a word without crying⊠but yeah men never get to show their emotions
And women are the "emotional" ones...
Penelope2005... Physics exam... professor.... is this a 19 year old college enrolled man crying and taking 10 minutes to write his name?
Absolutely zero resilience, this guy isn't going to last a day in the real world. Like, as women, we have to dodge sexual harassment from professors, and do it in such a diplomatic way that they won't penalize us for saying no, but won't get us sexually assaulted. And then we have to dodge constant sexual harassment from the male students always around us. Men couldn't last an hour as an actual woman. đ
What a whiny fucking man! If I had to write "I'm a man" on a piece of paper for it to be an official part of my educational documentation, I would do it no problem. Because unlike this man's pathetic porn-induced autogynephilia, my existence as a woman (adult human female) does not depend on others playing a game of "Emperor's new clothes."
Also, girls around the globe are denied education based on the fact that they are female children. No amount of identifying as a boy will change that for them. So Mr. Penelope, kindly fuck off and enjoy your education.
