i feel like im pretentious about repression or whatever like oh they can identify and name their repressed desires thats like the boring level one repression wheres the level of repression where they cant even begin to contemplate their own desires because contemplating them is a slippery slope to actually having desires which is a slippery slope to everything

I am HONORED and ILY! 🌟
Because the instructions are vague and I might get choice paralysis, I went and chose like... a song that I used to listen to in repeat, through different past years.
"夜は仄か" (x) <<< Really cool animation of the depressing thoughts that can spin into your mind while you wait for your laundry to get done, as a plus. It translates to "the night faints". I've listened to it a lot through mid 2021. From EVE, I would also recommend "Tokyo's ghetto" (x) (I'm cheating, right? I shouldnt be ablet to do that), which Ive listened to a lot in the year of the release, I think it was 2018? I have a feeling you miiiight like those two songs, btw, or at least their themes. Speaking of tokyo...
2. TOKYO (x) "But I do know this / life dont make sense / when you cant pay rent / so I place my bets" the lyrics "You left a spell on my saturday" was the name of my art blog for a long time and I dont think it was easy to get the reference, anyway, some people were blessed with knowing brockhampton in 2017 and some, like me, were doomed to become their fans after 2019, when everything fell apart and being a brockhampton fan became extremely frustrating more and more as the years went by. Love brochhampton. Love the pain and the akira style flashbacks they still cause me.
3. Daniel na cova dos leões. (x) (the lyrics to this are nauseatingly horny, gay gay homossexual gay) Its hard to pinpoint the best brazilian rock band there ever was - no, its not, who are we kidding, its Legião Urbana, if you think its another band, you're wrong, the competition is strong but they're still the best. My folks were big fans and Ive listened to it since I was a baby. They are better known for Tempo Perdido, which is an all timer, that directly contraposes what Proust was trying to capture in "les temps perdu" (x) by teenagerish saying "nem foi tempo perdido / somos tão jovens".
4. Euphoria (x) not gonna lie, Kendr/ck having that (righteous) beef saved my 2024. Ive listened to it more times than it could be considered normal in the fucking Tuesday it was released and then in all the months after. ALTERNATIVELY, before that, DAMM is my all time favorite kendrick album, but Wesley's theory (x) is still so, so, so, so fun to listen to.
5. Pass this on (x) you gonna love this, but I have a succ sibs playlist - which I never posted here, my bad - and obviously this song is in it. Ive listened to it on repeat for... a good couple of years? I simply did not get tired of this song, for some reason. it takes me back.
So I! Listen to a lot of music. Like... spotify wrapped telling me "you listen to a lot of music. more than your geographical average." and of course, this might be horseshit, but I am and was that one stereotypical quirky autist always with my headphones, till the point it is constantly commented up on my job. so yeah, its like... I listen to a lot of music. DO LET ME KNOW IF YOU LISTEN TO EITHER OF THOSE.

This is what the new incest discourse misunderstands. And it is part of being trapped in the circuits of the family. It’s not so much that incest will save the family as its material and social foundations collapse, but rather that these incestuous fantasies are the last vestiges of that family form that has come with so many impossible and empty promises: that we can satisfy our desires, that we can have stability, that the family will secure our material conditions.
The 21st-Century Family Romance, Brian Connelly
